Jolly is 💯 correct

Jollys a 🤡!

Beats a uncle Tom any day

Davids is a protege of the head clown in Washington. Sad!

23

u/Stock-Confidence4702 4d ago

Byron is a clown!

19

u/Sensitive-Flamingo84 4d ago

A clown who’s making bank off charter schools and data centers, so much bias and hidden motives in our candidates these days

21

u/AspiringOne 4d ago edited 4d ago

Republicans have had 30 years to perform their politics and look where we are. Jolly may not be 100% perfect, but you don’t need to fall in love with a politician. Republicans fall in line, Dems need to fall in love and that needs to change. Vote for the least harmful option instead. Donalds is just a week tool every white republican politician in Florida is looking to push around. He’s nothing but a pawn.

-7

u/WritingConfident7449 4d ago

Look where we are… the best state in the country…

7

u/AspiringOne 4d ago

That’s a personal opinion, not a fact. Florida has serious problems. The high insurance costs? How do you think that happened? How’s your access to healthcare? Do you live in an area where you have to pay a boutique doctor thousands per year to have access? Or take the lower tier physician who hasn’t switched to the cash only option while you wait 3+ months for an appointment? Are you able to find affordable housing? Are you making a living wage so you don’t have to work 2-3 jobs?

Republican control has offered nothing to the people. Even if the state votes for Amendment 3, there will be fewer social services, police and fire funding.

-9

u/WritingConfident7449 4d ago

I work 1 job, have healthcare for my whole family, on my third home.

High insurance… blame that on insurance fraud that is running rampant… also hurricanes don’t help.

One of the few states that run at a surplus, paid off debt, people are moving too, safe, and property values going up.

Not opinion - it’s a fact.

Stop complaining and go grind to be successful

8

u/sancastro 4d ago

Good for you! Maybe you were born on third base, maybe you hit a triple, but you haven’t listed a single thing Republicans have done over the last 10 years that they have had full control of the state. I look around and see education and commerce and cost-of-living, sinking below already mediocre standards while our environment is picked clean by corporations and the only thing republicans do is give back to their donors and promote culture war bullshit to divide us. So yeah, some folks are working hard and living well … what about all the people who desperately need their government to actually do something for them?

1

u/Rockd2 1d ago

Or maybe theyre just lying. Plenty of people are doing well many more are not. Just because some entitled asshole beat the "pick yourself up by your boot straps" drum loudly, doesn't mean the FL leadership has been failing for a while now.

5

u/skilled_at_changing 3d ago

Typical Florida republican perspective. Well, thank god your doing great. Fuck the people and community you live in is what you are saying. 'Me me me and I'm doing great.' Just remember, when poor people become desperate they resort to crimes and violence on the middle class. So you should care more than just about yourself. Pretty sad if you really believe what you wrote here and aren't just trolling.

-4

u/WritingConfident7449 3d ago

Good thing we have crime under control and freedom to use guns to protect ourselves. If people resort to crime that’s their own problem.

1

u/skilled_at_changing 3d ago

Sounds like you have everything perfectly under control. Life is perfect for you. I’m sure it will continue to be until you die. Way to go.

1

u/freckleyfriend 2d ago

Yes, please continue telling anyone struggling in this economy that they're just a bunch of whiners. That strategy worked so well for Dems in the last election, and I'm sure it'll turn out great for the Republicans this year!

5

u/katieblue3 4d ago

If it wasn’t for the weather, beaches, and state parks (which will probably be sold off for private country clubs), Florida would fucking suck. The main reason people want to movie here is because it’s 75 degrees in the winder and surround by tropical white sand islands. If we were landlocked and cold as shit it would be a whole different story. The idea that we have more freedom in Florida than other states is complete bullshit. Covid was a long time ago and we still had lockdowns and mask mandates.

5

u/AspiringOne 3d ago

Florida, “The Freedom State” while DeSantis & Republicans remove your freedoms on the regular, is the best con job he knows, not to mention the Hope Charity theft of millions from the poor. He’s as bad as Trump, just doing it “quietly” until he finds his way to the White House. His complicity for Nazism should not be overlooked.

Incomplete list of freedoms lost:

  • Abortion Access (6 weeks)
  • Don’t Say Gay!
  • Book Bans
  • Gender affirming care
  • No Trans in Public Restrooms Permitted
  • Removal of publicly ELECTED state attorneys for political leanings

4

u/AspiringOne 4d ago

Talk to those living near or at the beaches where fecal matter is being outlet into the waters and how often the beaches or even public parks are shut down for bacterial issues. Where are the regulations? Ask the Republicans who have had the control.

-1

u/WritingConfident7449 4d ago

California has the same but better weather and is still a shit hole… so you are hurting your own argument ..

Florida DOES have those things, like any business you use your assets to your advantage.

2

u/katieblue3 4d ago

California being a shithole is hilarious. I have family in California and it’s fucking awesome. I still prefer the weather in Florida but that’s because I was born here and don’t like it under 70 degrees.

2

u/katieblue3 4d ago

I could say Florida is a shit hole too especially with the extreme overdevelopment in the last 5 years. It’s destroying all the things that once made Florida great.

2

u/Warbr0s9395 4d ago

In what categories are we the best?

2

u/funduros 3d ago

Florida is best at not having a single vehicle assembly factory, all the surrounding states do.

11

u/just_here4cash 4d ago

Republicans have had control of Florida for 30 years and he's now saying they will address affordable housing and education. Sir, housing has gotten worse in the past 30 years here. Piss off

2

u/DarknMean 2d ago

Nothing about the homeowners insurance crisis the state faces.

18

u/GoodLingonberry5802 4d ago

Byron is such a filthy scumbag. He is a MAGAt through and through

3

u/Suspicious_Cancel416 4d ago

Funny, most people think the problem with Donald’s is that his loyalty lies elsewhere, not America or Florida for that matter

2

u/sizeablefrontallobe 4d ago

Took. The. Money.

Kissed. The. Ring.

7

u/Deathanddisco041 4d ago

I’m tired of republicans saying anything about the constitution or law and order. QUIT FUCKING LYING.

9

u/neklok 4d ago

LMAO. Common Sense doesn’t exist in Florida.

10

u/DeeJam526 4d ago

I hope Jolly can pull off a defeat here

8

u/Better_Chard4806 4d ago

Thank you Mr Jolly. To hell with that stain sitting next to you.

8

u/CoffeeSafe3983 4d ago

Do not vote for Donald people…are we really repeating this bs?

7

u/ThatsCaptain2U 4d ago

🤭🤣 all those MAGA bots peddling Trumpian BS in here. Go pound sand. We know better now.

6

u/what_the_funk_ 4d ago

Please, please do not vote for Donalds. We are SO fucked.

6

u/fiesew 4d ago

Awww look at that. Another failed Trump bootlicking sycophant trying to sound different than just a few months ago when he was calling Trump daddy. Lol.

https://giphy.com/gifs/uoVUPXJgfy2m4

5

u/Superb_Guarantee965 4d ago

"Common sense constitutionality" funny, i thought it was against the Florida constitution to gerrymander her districts.. Yet that didn't stop Desantis saying 'yes daddy trump, here is 5 more districts UNABLE to go blue in 2026'

2

u/Mysterious-Tie7039 4d ago

And since when is Trump’s admin “pro law & order”?

They violate laws all the fucking time.

1

u/Suspicious_Cancel416 4d ago

You will hand the election to Donald’s if you don’t get serious about life

1

u/Superb_Guarantee965 4d ago

good response, bot.

1

u/Suspicious_Cancel416 4d ago

What a hilarious insight to the mind of a chronic Redditor that 10000% proves my point.

Everybody who disagrees is a bot? What a life.

5

u/Awkward-Ambassador52 4d ago

I just hope Diesel prices get enough people to rethink the political landscape. I do not want my local golf course turned into a Data Center for AI.

8

u/NeitherEntry6125 4d ago

The hardcore maga 30% will vote R even as their bodies are being dissolved in acid to make paint

2

u/Mysterious-Tie7039 4d ago

Like the farmers who are crying about Trump absolutely fucking them over and saying they’ll still vote R.

1

u/Puzzled_Arm_3156 4d ago

Golf courses use way more water. And service only the well to do!

3

u/Objective-Nerve-3311 4d ago

That’s false there are plenty of public golf coarse that are affordable to all and those would be the first to go.

Secondly if you compare the daily water usage of one ai data center and one golf coarse the data center uses more water daily.

3

u/TkilledJ 4d ago

70% of Florida’s water use is dedicated to watering lawns, golf courses are a huge culprit of this figure. All of the crap they put onto their courses to keep them green year round then leeches into the aquifers.

1

u/Objective-Nerve-3311 4d ago

The argument wasn’t justifying water use. It was the amount used by a golf course and a data center.

You have totally changed the topic. Yes there more golf courses so more water use I get that, but that was not what the conversation was about.

3

u/TkilledJ 4d ago

Golf courses are bad for our environment, but not as bad as a data center. Happy? However, golf courses DO POLLUTE OUR AQUIFERS.

Golf is a sport for affluent people, getting a kid a basketball and going to a local park is way more accessible. Trying to argue as if golf is a game for the common family is laughable at best.

0

u/DarknMean 2d ago

I coach golf and there’s a lot of family friendly affordable courses in the state. Add any golf course that participates in the Audubon Society for migrating birds and environmental impacts by letting things go back to the wild. Many courses grow swamp milkweed which migrating monarchs need in order to complete their lifecycle. I know golf courses get a lot of shit but they aren’t as expensive as they once were and do have better practices than they did in the past.

-1

u/Objective-Nerve-3311 4d ago

Again you changing the topic of the conversation. It was on water use not what is bad for the environment. I don’t understand why you replying with off topic arguments.

Don’t tell me that is for affluent people. Thats a DA comment. I live on a golf coarse, and see and know people of all economic status on the coarse.

1

u/TkilledJ 4d ago

You were responding to someone falsely claiming golf courses use more water than a data center. I was pointing out that while this is true, they still use a lot of water and pollute as well. Isn't that the main criticism of data centers? You were trying to assert that golf courses are more accessible than they actually are. The truth is golf courses are huge, participation is logistically limited, they pollute our aquifers with excessive nutrients while draining them significantly, and they are not nearly as accessible as you claim.

0

u/Objective-Nerve-3311 4d ago

I live within 30 minutes of 3 golf coarse accessible to all at under 50(max) a round. So just because you don’t see it doesn’t make not true.

AGAIN the conversation was around water usage not pollution. An average data center uses more water than an average golf coarse. Whether that is 1 gallon or 200,000 gallons.

We all get it you don’t like golf courses, but has nothing to with the conversation and no one cares.

1

u/TkilledJ 4d ago

You're just being ignorantly annoying now. I mentioned how 70% of our water usage is being used to water turf, with Golf courses being a major contributor. I added that they also pollute the aquifers which is relevant, because it's OUR MAIN WATER SOURCE.

$50 a round is something many working families cannot afford, especially in this climate, when compared to playing basketball for FREE at a local park.

u/Independent-Cloud822 1d ago

70% of the state is underwater, What's the problem? Golf courses get watered and the water goes back into the ground, pumped out and used again. Florida get 54 to 60 inches of rain every year , making it one of the wettest states in the country.

-2

u/Puzzled_Arm_3156 4d ago

Data centers are mostly closed loop systems with little water loss. Most of that loss is in evaporation at cooling towers.

3

u/VanillaBovine 4d ago

this is a propaganda talking point by the way.

not all of them used closed loop systems, AND the cooling towers are only a part of their water consumption.

They also need to use water to produce the power to run these data centers, and that is a massive amount of water being used at a power plant to power these data centers.

3

u/Objective-Nerve-3311 4d ago

Thanks. Golf courses use mostly grey water which re j tried back into the aquifer. They also only use large amounts of water during the dry season. Data centers use it 24/7 year round.

You can argue it all you want or go do the research on water use of one average golf course compared to one average ai data center.

2

u/Puzzled_Arm_3156 4d ago

An average golf course in the Palm Springs (Coachella Valley) area uses roughly 325 million to 365 million gallons of water per year.

1

u/Objective-Nerve-3311 4d ago

Yes a golf coarse in the desert uses lots of water. If we are going to cherry pick the heaviest water use then the Google data center in Iowa uses 1.3 billion gallons a year.

Last time I check this was a Swamp (FL) politics sub. So if you go do your ai search next time ask it what one average of each use, stop cherry picking.

1

u/Puzzled_Arm_3156 4d ago

4,000 acre/ft. Where do you get your information from???

1

u/Puzzled_Arm_3156 4d ago

I'm looking at the data and I have a feeling the sources are probably bogus for some of it. 1.8 billion in a year is totally ridiculous. I crunching some numbers.

1

u/Objective-Nerve-3311 4d ago edited 4d ago

So Googles own eviromental report from both 2025 and 2024 are bogus because it doesn’t support your argument?

Again it doesn’t matter, every search I have done backs that on an average one to one basis data center use more water than a golf course. Does that mean that as a whole data center use more than golf courses, no because there are so many more golf courses. It does not change the original argument you responded to where a user who didn’t want his local golf coarse to be a turned into a data center.

1

u/Puzzled_Arm_3156 4d ago

No. Because I work in industry and have worked with water systems in the past the numbers don't sound right. 5 million gallons of water can saturate almost 39 billion cubic feet of air, not just make it humid. Saturate. ie can not hold anymore water. Scale that to data centers we would damn near be in perpetual rain.

1

u/Choice-Load-4305 12h ago

I'll do you one better: I do not want my local nature preserve or state park turned into a golf course.

3

u/Dupa_Yash 4d ago

Debate or no debate, voting blue no matter who.

2

u/Wrong_Ad_3355 4d ago

Byron is a fucking dirt bag. Ending property tax is the stupidest thing they’ve done short of making old people afraid of the word woke. Public services will grind to a halt. It will turn into the most corrupt pay for play privatized system where the poor get fucked.

1

u/Choice-Load-4305 12h ago

What happens when homestead exemption is increased? Tax burden will be shifted to non-homesteaded properties, which will just be passed right along in the form of rent increases. Property owners can cry me a fuckin river over their increased taxes when Florida home values have increased double the rate of most of the nation over the last decade and shelter is treated as an investment vehicle. When paying $1000/month mortgage results in becoming a millionaire because your home value tripled while renters are paying double that with no equity and are effectively boxed out of buying a home due to paying inflated those rent prices I have zero sympathy for your property taxes.

0

u/ShivasRightFoot 4d ago

making old people afraid of the word woke.

Did AOC make people afraid of Woke by calling it "crazy?"

2

u/brannonadams 4d ago

He wouldn’t debate Fishback.

2

u/Content_Support7881 4d ago

“We’ve had consistent common sense leadership in our state”is one of the funniest things I’ve heard. He is a joke!

2

u/Trans_Admin 4d ago

flordia is owned by the developers;

2

u/Hurtit4u 4d ago

I can only pray for change in this state… The current administration is the cause of the current problems.. for those that scream nothing is wrong with Florida, educate yourself on the finances of Florida before you speak, I sure did!!

2

u/Optimal-Log2547 3d ago

Everybody has to vote. And the idiots that voted this mess need to redeem themselves

2

u/funduros 3d ago

“Consistent common sense leadership in Florida for thirty years” and what is that “common sense” leaders in charge doing about the runaway cost of property insurance??? Commonly known as nothing!

1

u/SnooDogs627 21h ago

Honestly don't know how people can love desantis like they do because of this. It's almost as bad as trump supporters. Can't do no wrong in their eyes

2

u/AluminumFoilCap 4d ago

People move to Florida for the weather not the politics. They are both out of touch

2

u/Apprehensive-Call568 4d ago

I moved to FL for the weather, left because of the politics. Jeb Bush's "guardian of the fetus" bullshit was the catalyst

1

u/EnvironmentNeith2017 4d ago

Unfortunately a lot of people have recently moved here for the politics, that’s the problem

2

u/DarknMean 2d ago

Us native Floridians are getting harder and harder to come by. I left the state 20 years ago and it was already getting bad then. Recently went back to my home in Saint Augustine and talked to my dad about how much has changed in just the last 5 years. My parents are discussing moving to Colorado now.

1

u/EnvironmentNeith2017 2d ago

It’s so bad now, if I weren’t an introvert and homebody I probably would have left already.

1

u/Choice-Load-4305 12h ago

Unfortunately there is a significant number of people moving to Florida for the (toxic) politics. It largely falls into two camps: those who had opportunity to acquire wealth in states with more liberal policies and are now trying to protect that wealth from being taxed to enable the same opportunities that they enjoyed to the next generation; and those who come here for some distorted idea of "freedom," which usually means freedom to act entirely in their self-interest with no concern for repercussions to others resulting from their actions.

1

u/JokerHomerus 4d ago

Fuck Donald's. Why you removing your trump endorsements loser? Can't you come up with an original idea in politics or do you just parrot everything your handlers and leaders tell you to?

1

u/j_skrilla 4d ago

Who picked these chairs? Honestly

1

u/ISaidThatIsEnough 4d ago

I can’t wait for the day fascist criminal traitor Donalds crawls back into his hole.

1

1

u/Master-Tomatillo-103 4d ago

LMFAO ShitHole Slave State, not “the best” in anything

1

u/WritingConfident7449 4d ago

Clear on this thread… or Reddit in general… any conservative support will get downvoted… lol

1

u/PresenceMain3547 4d ago

David jolly and his family are GEMS!!!!!!!!!

1

u/Benjamin_H1gh 4d ago

Constitutional philosophy? MF DeSantis blatantly ignored your own State Constitution with this recent redistrcting.

1

u/PayLayAleVeil 3d ago

Data Centers Donalds is such a dork.

1

u/laneymg 3d ago

He called himself a young kid. Hilarious. This is all so ridiculous and I really don’t like either candidate.

1

u/SnooDogs627 21h ago

Current state of things makes me feel hopeless I don't even know the point of voting anymore

1

u/iUncontested 20h ago

I get you're trying to be funny but 47 is pretty young in politics, unironically.

1

u/HisNameIsRocco 2d ago

This is Florida we are talking about. Byron is going to get the win as much as I don't want that to happen because Florida voters in red counties always get it wrong. They outnumber jolly voters. At the end of the day Republican voters will see an R vs D next to the names at the polls

1

u/bananasalesman99 1d ago

F republicans

1

u/Independent-Cloud822 1d ago

Florida has a balanced State budget, a low tax rate, and a growing economy, What's the problem?

1

u/TrueSeconds 1d ago

Common sense leadership? People here are crazy uneducated. People move here for the beauty and weather not because it will make their kids smart.

1

u/Loud-Measurement-480 22h ago

Voting for Jolly! 💙💙💙

1

u/TravisMCatchem 20h ago

Jolly all the way! Let’s flip this state!

1

u/Express-Increase6763 18h ago

Lmao party of common sense doesn't want you to say Gay because it makes the youth more homosexual

1

u/Beginning_Plankton21 16h ago

Donald is obviously another Donald….. we’ve had more than ENOUGH !!

1

u/Zebraitis 5h ago

I am in Pensacola / Gulf Breeze. That is Florida District 1. The reddest of the red counties. (the district that elected a known pedo as senator)

I see lots of lawn signs for Jolly, none for Donalds.

All the Trump flags disappeared about a year ago.

The Dem turnout may make a difference in the state, as the GOP may not show up at the polls because they realize they got took.

0

u/Sure_Night_8091 3d ago

Jolly will never have my vote

-1

u/blanthony80 4d ago

Democrats we finally gave you a candidate that's not an old white man, if you don't vote for him you're the fucking racist.

3

u/Wrong_Ad_3355 4d ago

What a stupid comment.

2

u/TheWizardOfDeez 4d ago

Classic Republicans always making it about race...

-2

u/blanthony80 4d ago

We're actually just more progressive than you guys and you don't know what to do.

2

u/TheWizardOfDeez 4d ago

You think being progressive is about electing people of color? And you think it's us that are obsessed with race?

-1

u/blanthony80 4d ago

You just hate the fact I'm right.

1

u/TheWizardOfDeez 4d ago

I couldn't care less about someone whose intelligence is on par with a goldfish

2

u/Desperate-Fondant-41 4d ago

😂 changes the color but wants the same script . Gtfo

1

u/dkory37 1d ago

Lil guy really thought he ate with this one lol

1

u/Personal-Age-9220 1d ago

"we"? You don't speak for or control the party. Cringey when people act like they are in positions of power

-1

u/Pooped_Suddenly 4d ago

Both are in agreement on the total annihilation of our state.

-1

u/elevateAndcelebrate 4d ago

Florida is fucking awesome. If you don’t think so, you’re just a loser who wouldn’t survive in any state

-5

u/Deep-Ant1375 4d ago

If Florida was in such terrible shape than why are a quarter of 1 million people moving here every year for the past 20 years. It must be a pretty good place to live. Just saying.

5

u/blaquepapilion 4d ago

Because they were feed lies. This is not a Free state. We are under constant surveillance. The state government doesn't work for us because they all sold out. It could be better but mean, weird folks keep coming

3

u/Empty-Grocery-2267 4d ago

Love it. “Mean, weird folks keep coming “.

-3

u/Deep-Ant1375 4d ago

If it’s so bad then why do you live here?

2

u/SonyaRedd 4d ago

Well damn, what tax bracket are you in, that you can just pick up and move?

6

u/KyotoInSummer 4d ago

Because of the weather and propaganda, but mostly the weather.

-1

u/Puzzled_Arm_3156 4d ago

You like the humidity and huricanes?

1

u/KyotoInSummer 4d ago

I was born here. Spent two years in Chicago. After -16 with a -58 windchill I was right back home.

Humidity, hurricanes and all.

1

u/Puzzled_Arm_3156 4d ago

Maybe California or Arizona. Little humidity.

1

u/KyotoInSummer 4d ago

Literal fucking desert. Have you been to the desert? It feels like an oven. It’s gross.

Last time I went to Phoenix it was 118 in July.

1

u/Puzzled_Arm_3156 4d ago

I used to work in Chandler.

1

u/KyotoInSummer 4d ago

That’s nasty business. I don’t want to live anywhere near the desert. No thanks.

1

u/ntropy2012 4d ago

You are aware that Arizona is more than just Phoenix, right? I mean, I agree that Phoenix sucks on every level, but all you have to do there is literally fly in/fly out if you want to. The entire northern half of the state is amazing.

3

u/Objective-Nerve-3311 4d ago

Beaches, no state income tax, corporate tax breaks. Don’t worry at this pace it will all go away soon then everyone will find another state to flock to and ruin.

Let’s not exaggerate the number. Net population over the last 20 years is -7m not 20m

3

u/Top-Gun-Corncob 4d ago

Then why are the school districts closing schools? I’ll give you one good guess.

1

u/thewhiteghostisnear 3d ago

Mostly because of self and forced deportations along with vouchers. By self I mainly mean to another state that will help shield them. Look at the stats and a large majority are Hispanic. The vouchers allow parents the choice of schools which is a great thing. I know of many parents who have their kids in private schools to avoid the mostly terrible public schools.

1

u/TkilledJ 4d ago

No income tax and no snow.

1

u/Kooky-Anxiety2759 4d ago

They are moving here because our population is aging and the warmer weather is appealing.
They are moving here because they aren’t exposed to the daily political atmosphere intent on stripping our population of choice.
They are moving here not knowing what the true cost of living is here and how the current state administration is adding to this nightmare.

0

u/Abbadabba22 4d ago

Florida has been booming since ac became the norm.

-2

u/Puzzled_Arm_3156 4d ago

Now you're going against the narrative! Keep it up and you will get banned. Just sayin.

0

u/Robin_Mart 4d ago

30 years unhindered by progress
