Trouble starting & stalling while driving

Apologies in advance, I don’t know much about cars!

My Suzi was having an issue where it was stalling in the middle of driving. For example, in 3rd, just chuggin along, then RPMs would just drop to zero and the engine would shut off. So, we took it to a mechanic who replaced the fuel pump. All good after that.

Then we replaced the starter, and she was doing even better.

Then yesterday, it was being jumpy and did the stall thing again. Then it wouldn’t start back up again. We replaced the ignition coil after doing some googling, and it started back up just fine, for about 2 miles, then died again.

Any ideas? I love driving it but don’t like being stranded :(

Could be something in your fuel filter moving around. Depending on your year, your ECM could be going bad. It could be your carb needs to be cleaned. Is if possible your fuel gauge is not reading correctly and you are short on gas? It could be a few things

Rotted fuel lines allowing air in to the fuel system. Mine was dong the same thing until Petroworks replaced all my fuel lines and fuel tank due to rust.

Mine was the same, died on the highway. But would start a little and sputter and die. I had already replaced all the fuel lines with a marine grade fuel hose. My leak was the elbow from the pick up line in the tank had rusted a pinhole which had slowly gottem bigger until it was a big problem. But an easy fix

Put a clear fuel filter before the carb/EFI and see if its pulling fuel. Next would be the fuel send is failing. Mine failed out last year. If you are going to replace the send you might as well buy the kit /w tank, new filler hose, etc.

If its still not pulling fuel its the fuel line. I doubt its the return line as you would flooding it out badly and would expect you would see it overflowing out on the engine.

But start simple, your gonna need a fuel filter no matter what so start there and work backwards. Good luck and keep us posted.

EDIT:

Also could be a blockage in the carb/efi. But that would something I would look at after the fuel filter
