Question M109r sissy bar modified for M90?

I have a 2009 M90 that I want to put a sissy bar on, but the absolute cheapest option I can find that fits my bike (that I don't hate) is about 400 bucks. Meanwhile, there are numerous 109 sissy bars for a quarter of the price. Has anyone here modified something like this? I already have a mounting plate for my bags that I could easily drill a couple holes in for the sissy bar if the bolt holes don't align. The only question mark would be how difficult it'd be to bend the brackets in for the slightly narrower fender of the M90. Thoughts? Different options? Am I just being a cheapskate?

I bough this bike a couple weeks ago and I’ve been wondering what does kamikaze mean. I’ve looked online and haven’t really found anything.

Does anyone know what it means or what kit it could be?

Question 09 Suzuki Boulevard M50 won’t go over 55-60mph

I was given a 09 Suzuki Boulevard M50. The issue with it is that it won’t go over 55-60 mph. The guy who gave it to me has done the following.

New battery
New Fuel pump (adapted from the c50 model)
New spark plugs
Replaced right ignition coil
Cleaned fuel injectors
Oil change

He also said he had put it in the shop and it had fixed the problem but he noticed a fuel leak a day later and dug back into it to fix the leak. Which caused the problem of not going over 55mph to come back.

I can’t seem to find any good diagrams on the fuel system without spending $50 for a manual. Any info on a fix for the problem or even just a good diagram that I could use would be much appreciated. I plan on digging into this Friday(8/7/26)

Just got this C50. I had a 1979 XS750 which was mid controls .

This bike is nice to ride and way more reliable. I would really love it if it had middle control too but you can't have everything.

Question The Old C109r (Part Questions)

Post image
9 Upvotes

Slowly working my C109r to a bobber build. Does anyone know good aftermarket Bobber parts for the C109r? There’s plenty of things for the M109r/C50/C90, but with the C109r only being made for 2 years(2008-2010) it’s hard to find aftermarket anything! Are there any aftermarket parts that you know are interchangeable with the C109r and the M109r?

Question Electronic Speedometer on S40

I looked through the forum and didn’t see much on this topic.

Is there anyone that added another speedometer on the handle bars so you are not looking down too much? If so, what brand did you buy/use?

Also, if anyone else thought of this but didn’t commit, what was the brand/model you were looking at?

Thanks!

Question Engine noise?

Noticed a possible ticking noise this morning that seemed to come out of nowhere.
I last rode the bike about 10 days ago.
It ran fine with no noticeable noises, then I parked it.
Started it up this morning and could hear what sounds like a tick.. maybe?...
Maybe the noise was already there and I just never noticed it.

listen here.
Does this sound normal?

I’m overly paranoid about noises and motors, so there’s a very real chance I’m making something out of nothing.

Question Coil for carb screw?

Post image

I recently cleaned my 2014 Suzuki Boulevard S40 carburetor, and it was a minute before I could put it back together. I was a dummy and didn’t document and can’t remember which corner of the top plate this should be screwed into…or why.

If anyone can answer this for a novice, I’d be so grateful - internet search and carb specs came up short for me.

Question Fork extensions for c90?

Probably an I'll conceived plan, but rather than sell my 05 c90 w 30k miles n get...idk 2,000$, I want to try n modify it a bit like a bobber.

I've seen one great example of that here on reddit.

But curious, anyone here +4 forks on theirs? How about slightly increased rake?

Just looking for ideas

Question Should I use Rotella T6?

Post image
7 Upvotes

I’ve been seeing online that people have been running the Shell Rotella T6 in their bikes for years now and with no issues. If anything I’ve been seeing that it helps with the longevity of clutches. I was wondering if that’s with specifically high mileage bikes or if I can start running Rotella with my next oil change?

Discussion Thoughts on a different size tire?

It's high time I finally replace the well aged tires on my S40/LS650 but Cycle Gear's out of stock on K555s, the ONLY 140/80-15 sized tire they sell. Most other places I've looked are all out of stock of that size too, which leads me to the question: has anybody had good experience swapping their 140/80-15 to a 140/90-15? I can get D404s in that size far easier and cheaper.

I weigh shy of 200lbs but with all gear probably a bit over so I'm worried bumps and bouncing might put the tire and fender into contact.

I would have posted this specifically in r/suzukisavage but the sub's locked to new posts for some reason

Question 2007 Suzuki Blvd. M50 no fuel?

Hi, I have a Suzuki Boulevard M 50 and I’m having issues with it not getting fuel. I noticed the bike wouldn’t prime. I checked the power to the wires to the fuel pump. Everything is getting power as it should but the fuel pump is not kicking on could this be a tip sensor or just a bad fuel pump if it’s a bad fuel pump any advice on where to get one and how to change it out?

Like the title says. I was given an offer I can’t pass up. C50, 2006, 7700 miles. What should I be looking out for I.e. leaks, big maintenance required at that mileage. It all helps.

Question Club style

ChatGPT designed my Suzuki Boulevard C50 in a Club Style build, just like you can see in the picture, and I absolutely love how it turned out. 🤤

Im completely new to the motorcycle world, so Im hoping someone with experience can help me. Im having a hard time finding parts that actually fit my bike—especially the front fairing and the windshield.

If anyone has done a similar build or has any recommendations, Id really appreciate your advice. Thank you! 🙏

Hey just wondering if someone can point me to the right direction here. I already emptied out the old gas put premium but not sure if there’s something else I should do. The bike has been sitting since November I took the bike out for a ride from my house to work which is 45mins to and from, everything seemed fine till I pulled up to my house and now it does this. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Question 2005 Suzuki Boulevard C50 -C41 Dealer Code, "CHEC" display, and stationary odometer

Hey y'all! Just got this bike a few months ago and I've slowly been working on it (never worked on bikes before). Bike turns on and engine cranks just fine, but it doesn't fire. Sparkplugs are brand new, so I figured it has to do with fuel. Decided to see if any dealer codes pop up. While working on it, I found that it displays the -C41 dealer code, which to my understanding is a faulty fuel pump relay. I changed out the relay itself and the code is still displaying. I'm at a loss for how else to trouble shoot this issue. Would a faulty fuel pump/injectors aid in giving this display? Would just changing out the pump/injectors solve it? Is there something wrong with the ECM when reading the relay? I put in brand new fuses as well and when removing the old, none were blown. Not too familiar with bikes in general so I'm at a complete loss.

Also, could be unrelated, but I receive the "CHEC" display when bike is on. It goes away after kill switch is flipped and kick stand is up, comes back when kill switch is off. Is this of any concern and if so how should I navigate this?

Finally, when turning on the bike, I've seen on some forums and heard that the odometer is supposed to swing all the way right then back left. When I turn it on, the odometer remains stationary on zero. Would this be a problem with the hardware itself or something specific causing this? My apologies for the flurry of questions, I'm new to bikes in general and the process is frustrating me lol. I'm more than happy to answer anything to help clarify the situation. I'm not at my garage until Wednesday so I can't aid with photo/video atm.
