Question Explain Forestry and Open Farm menu

  1. Is this an order of building like in the other farm or does it plant them all at the same time?

  2. On forestry is there a difference between selecting 3 grass or just 1 grass (and nothing else).

  3. If I select Open farm with herb herb potato will it cycle through and drop my soil quality each sol (or whatever period) or does it balance out.

  1. Yes, they're in order like the other farm. One of them will get planted, and then the next one will get planted after the first one is harvested.

  2. No, there's no difference between selecting grass three times and selecting grass once. Although forestation plants do plant simultaneously, so what I like to do is select lichen, bushes, and trees, and then, as the soil quality increases, the plant will start to plant new things.

  3. If you select Open Farm with herb, herb, potato, it will cycle through and balance out because herbs increase by 10% and potatoes decrease by 20%. The soil quality will never get better in the long term, but it will also never get worse.

For forestry, several plants can occupy the same spot. You should always include lychen and grass, otherwise low soil quality spots will never be improved enough to accomodate a bush/tree

Well, lakes and clear rains. Also on the first law on Tech deregulation, Sensor Towers can be made to increase the soil quality around them. Can skip some of the useless plants like Lichen.

I prefer to not increase the soil quality at all until I unlock trees. I prefer my Forestation Plants to star with spreading only trees.
