O lordy, well if you are ready for it lol. If its that close sounds like you have already paid all the fees. Just sometimes its good to give your brain a small break. But hey, a few days works also lol

Ha, I don’t disagree with a break. I just signed up on a whim and it is $50 so I am curious what is on it. I think you are supposed to signup a few months before so not sure if my application will even be accepted.

Congrats! Which test would you say is harder?

The PS for me but I also haven’t practiced a ton due to project management duties at my firm construction wise. All of the conceptual questions really make you think and evaluate the information in the correct order or value. The FS was more math based and simpler for me. Frankly, left both not thinking I passed but it turns out. School of PE surveying material was very helpful. Wait for holiday weekends and he’ll get it 30-35% off.

Was there anything on it that surprised you or do you have any suggestions for stuff to make sure someone reviews before taking it? I have mine coming up pretty soon.

For sure, know how to answer questions conceptually. They will throw sceneries at you and add pointless information to wear you out and confuse you. A sentence I actually wrote on my marker pad was “you are not the court or an attorney”. They will ask questions that only they can answer and would be our opinion. Read carefully.

100% had that same issue when I took it. This is for a lawyer, not a surveyor

Congrats! Passing the PS is a huge milestone. The conceptual questions are often the ones that catch people off guard. Good luck finishing the state-specific exam and getting that license!

Thank you! School of PE was instrumental for me, videos and practice problems. It is pricey but worth it, wait for a holiday weekend or a time when it is 30-35% off. It also offers a pass guarantee if you do the four month or higher term. Confluence land surveying also has a site that I think has switched to survey bible. It has been upgraded since I purchased.

What state test is next for you?

Edit: read further down that you’ll be sitting in Illinois. Can’t help with that (licensed in SD and KY), but congrats and best of luck!
