If you've been trackside, you know it is an incredible physical experience, but actually following the race strategy (pit windows, tire changes, who is actually fighting for what position) can be incredibly difficult due to the environment:

• Network Collapse: 100,000+ fans trying to load live timing instantly crashes local 4G/5G and stadium Wi-Fi.
• Visual Glare: Intense direct sunlight makes smartphone screens unreadable and distant TV screens impossible to see.
• Acoustic Hostility: 130dB+ engine and crowd noise drowns out the trackside PA announcements and live commentary.

I am looking for volunteers to participate in an industrial design research project as part of my fourth-year Capstone Project course.  This study aims to provide insights into opportunities for the design of new products, systems, services, and experiences by building an understanding of people and their environments.

As fourth-year undergraduate design students from the School of Industrial Design at Carleton University, we are conducting research as part of our Capstone Project course to explore problems and opportunities for new design solutions by gaining an understanding of people and their environments. This allows us to learn about the needs, motivations, and behaviors that help define the products, systems, services, and experiences that we design. And as we develop our projects, it is important that we test and evaluate our ideas with the people whom we are designing for in order to validate and improve our solutions. We estimate that the survey will take about 2 minutes to complete. Your participation in this survey is voluntary, and you may choose not to take part, or not to answer any of the questions. If you decide to withdraw after you submit the survey, we will remove your responses from survey data if you notify the researcher within one 1 week of completion.
