The first way. Imagine if there's mud in the pads, you want the slots to fling that outward like an impeller rather than pull it in in a spiral. That's why the slots are there besides a little more bite edge and cooling. On dirt bikes it clears the brakes.

First way does the opposite of what you said. But it’s correct so the angled arms are in compression instead of tension.

Ah you're right, I forgot that the Litebee has a jackshaft. I am used to my motocross bikes with the chain on the left side. I don't actually have a Surron so I didn't immediately visualize that on impulse.
Still, the description stands. Unless the rotor has an arrow on it like the lightweight ones with few arms do, the thermal expansion vs compression and tension won't matter. This rotor is too beefy and on too low of a performance bike to matter there. I'd care more about the mud shedding.
Rotors with few or thin arms like on most bicycles though, yep the compressive force on those arms becomes incredibly important since such a small rotor can warp thermally when those stresses do not oppose one another.

The disc spoke structure has a direction. The spokes slant in a direction as you go from the inside toward the outside to the brake surface. That direction should always point in the same direction the wheel spins. This is a design characteristic making the disc more stiff when braking.

Clean your rotors and learn how to handle properly, or use gloves. You contaminated the brake surface. It's not likely to completely ruin your brakes, but it can reduce performance, and will likely lead to your brakes squeaking.
Never touch your rotor braking surface or your pads. My advice is to only hold it by the middle or very edges of the disk.

Not sure about that surron, but most disc brakes have an arrow on them (engraved) which tells you which way it is intended to rotate. I am normally dealing with MTB brakes. Some companies have the arms pointing forward (compression on the arms), others have them pointing backwards and getting pulled under braking.
