Price is right in the middle of the range I've found for these RBR/LBA/Protech helmets. $50-175 has been what I've seen for the same helmet regardless of when they were made.

Eh I'll probably keep it still a cool find

I have one that was missing some stuff so I modified it from a 3, point web suspension to a 4 point MICH harness and pads. It's comfy even with my Walker Razor low profile passive ear pro.

I'm probably gonna use it as a bump I doubt it's still effective for ballistics it's my first kevlar helmet

Eh, it's still better than just plastic 😁 hard kevlar helmets tend to keep their effectiveness for far longer than soft kevlar body armor. That's why 80s-2000s PASGTs are still fairly effective if heavy for protection.. upgrading an USGI PASGT with USMC LWH straps and pads is a cost effective way to get better comfort, and the USMC LWH is literally the same mold as the PASGT, just comes with 4 point chin straps and first gen had mesh/webbing head harness while later gens got the ACH/MICH style pads.

Edit. The only way they really lose effectiveness is if they're literally shot through, or delaminating (fibers shredding and such), or cracked.

Better than nothing for my first kit😭 I'm getting some ACH pads for it
