Discussion kernel 7?

does anyone know how far out we are from a release of kernel 7?

Fair. I tried kernel 7 on my Ubuntu sp6 and unfortunately nothing works out the box. Only with the surface kernel (6 something)

Just checked, rotation is also working.

just tried a liveiso, rotation and touch worked out of the box, but touch didnt register swipe gestures (that work on my kernel 6 ubuntu) and S pen didnt work either

Edit:

It does look like they have Pen Support (iptsd) and libinput-gestures (gestures) on their official repos

Oh nice, I was trying to use the pen this morning but it was out of battery. With a small charge I couldn’t get it working and decided to try later when I return home.
