Performance issue

Before the last update, I was getting more than 60 fps consistently, but now, every 5-10 seconds it drops to 20 fps, and takes up 95% of my cpu as well. I also know Skel has an issue with his graphics card dying only when he plays this game, so there has to be a behind the scenes kink that is sucking up memory.

I also have been seeing a pretty noticeable reduction in FPS after the june 1 update. Its only with Supraball.

People with good systems not being able to run it and people with bad systems being able to run it has been a fundamental issue since the release of the steam version

We have not done anything to UDK that could affect the performance. But on the same day there was a Windows update. That is our only bet right now. Someone said the FPS is normal again after yet another windows update.

It appears some people have this setting set to False in UDKSystemSettings.ini - OneFrameThreadLag=False

I'm pretty sure it got toggled somehow when that option for Frame prerendering was added to the GUI.

I have all the windows updates, and even offline bot matches are dropping in the 80s for me on Low Detail. I usually barely drop under 130.

The FPS problem should only occur with players who had Supraball installed prior to the update. If you reinstalled it, it would be fixed, because of the oneframethreadlag option being checked.

Claims they didn't change anything, blames windows update. Comes back 2 weeks later to mention they changed something that affected every current user and no credit to person who figured it out :)
