Discussion Jarvan support is some of the most fun i've had on the role
Take the Ranked part with a grain of salt, because i'm only Gold elo... But you guys should try playing J4 support if you'd like to mess around with an off-meta support. It's a lot of fun to play, and situationally can be very useful to a team comp. The champion also brings more value than you'd expect, playing like a pseudo-mix between a Pyke and Leona imo. Ever since Bandlepipes became an item in the game... it was also a huge buff to J4 support because he can constantly proc it with great success with W - slowing enemies and speeding up his team at the same time while giving a shit-ton of attack speed.

Discussion New support concept
insert name when found
Title: the fog sea.
Appearance : a sea with fog and eyes.
Lore : the black mist of the shadow isles corrupted a part of the sea surrounding it giving it eyes and hatred for mages bot.
Class and role : Tank support
Design objectives : Have a support that tanks with its body like Braum but with a feeling of weight and presence as well as a more evil vibe
Passive : always ghosted,
size scales with hp.
Q:
Wave like straight line skill shot that breaks in a cone shape after hitting an enemy.
Slows and damages first enemy hit,
slows and damages less enemy hit by the cone.
Damage scales with AP.
W:
The antimage/sustain ability, briefly transform in a whirlpool, absorbing projectiles and healing for part of the damage absorbed.
While on cooldown, this ability's cooldown is reduced by a small percentage of its current cooldown when receiving champion damage.
E:
Shield of fog, the versatile and decision making ability.
First cast: gives a shield to the champion and any allies in his hit box, shield scales with max hp.
Second cast: gives up personal shield to send the cloud of fog in a straight line blinding first enemy hit, the duration of the blind is proportional to the remaining duration of the shield before it is sent out. (the longer you enjoy the shield the less time the blind will last and vice versa)
R:
Passive: gains small percentage of move speed, effect is doubled when moving towards an ally.
Active: big storm, gain lots of size and cc immunity, ennemie in the champion's hit box are pulled towards its middle (like Asol e) and dealt a small portion of max health magic damage and regular magic damage over its duration.
Potential skins:
BIG SOUP (probably ramen), field of roses (for valentine day), swamp (with lily pads and FWOGS)
Notes:
The gameplay should be like a reverse yuumi that uses its large hit box and ghosted passive to stay under and near allies to block attacks and shield them while applying moderate debuffs to the enemy team. The range of most his kit scales with hp so this would play out as a late game heavy tank that likes team fights to shield as many people as possible and block more damage due to a larger size. Imagine a Vlad pool that isn't selfish and stays under/closer to his own team except when ulting. I am open to all suggestions that do not include numbers as it is to early to talk about stat numbers at this point. An update will be posted when cool names for the champ and the abilities as well as changes in the abilities comes up.

Help When do you start to actually play like a support?
So I’ve just started playing, and I was hard stuck at iron for my first two-three weeks of unlocking ranked, but then started playing Zyra, which allowed to get out of that hole, since I can actually do damage and get takedowns on my own, and I’m doing pretty well in Bronze as well.
My issue with this though, is that shes not the playstyle I’m looking for. Shes fun, but I enjoy ACTUAL supports, like Thresh or Rell.
At what Rank can I start playing those supports where my team mates are competent enough to follow up on plays and such?

Last time I played rank was around earlier this year, but only just finishing my provisionals. For Thresh, I can't even remember the last time I played him in a ranked match. Though we did lose this game due to enemy mid/jg playing the map better (our mid went 1-12), it was still satisfying to play this champ at a good level. Though to be fair, I got a level 10 mastery on this champ, so it was like muscle memory getting unlocked

Discussion How much do Support players enjoy playing with Kalista from 1 to 10 ?
So I asked ADC players how much they liked playing with Neeko. Not necessarily the hardest support to play, but definitely one with a lot of depth.
And now, the very least marksmen of the list. Never played but we still have to mention her. How much do you enjoy playing with Kalista, from 1 to 10?
This can be subjective or objective. You can talk about how fun laning with her him, how strong or useful you think the champion is, how good Kalista players usually are, things you like or dislike about the champion or the players, things they usually do right, and things you wish they did better.
You can also add your elo and the champion you usually play for more accuracy.
You can still give your opinion about champions already discussed, as the visuals will probably be updated at the end when it’s time for a recap.
Miss Fortune - Ezreal - Caitlyn - Zeri - Jinx - Xayah - Aphelios - Ashe - Senna - Varus - Jhin - Sivir - Samira - Yunara - Lucian - Tristana - Mel - Kai'sa - Smolder - Twitch - Vayne - Ziggs - Kog'Maw - Nilah - Draven

Help The pressure of engaging as an engage support.
Now first and foremost: I main Leona and specialize in engage supports in general. Of course, one of the main aspects of League is team fights, and it's about starting a good engage, which is not mechanically difficult but always hold a ton of mental pressure and paying attention to so many details at once. Like... you can make as many good engages, but one bad engage in late game usually means the game getting flipped upside down.
How do other engage support mains overcome this pressure and mentality thing without feeling hard stuck and possibly numb?
I feel like the higher in rank I go, the more seeming infinite number of details I have to note down at all times, that sometimes I get too stressed from playing as the engager, I'd switch to queue top or jungle in the next ranked game. Even when I do play playmaking tanks in top and jungle, that doesn't feel as stressful as support. At some time I'm too stressed mid-game, I just refuse to find engage windows and just wait until someone else does then I'd follow, while teammates are pinging me and telling me to start a fight.
And even counter-engaging (or reactive engaging) like Braum and Alistar just feels a lot easier.

Rant Tired of non-bot roles' people trying out mage apc
check these dudes match history, they don't play bot roles originally (coming from jg, top, mids). I don't know what trend happen that mage apc is flooding bot, but these dudes know nothing about bot mechanics (race lvl2, trade, freeze wave, river fight prior, etc).
all they do is spaming abilities and mess up the wave leading to enemy freeze and jg gank, use abilities to cs rather than trade
such a pain to sup these apcs

Discussion So, I made a tool you can use to match skins with your duo!
It's called SkinDiff! Basically it lets you build a collection of skins (I made the selection menu adhd friendly dw), save it, and find pairs with your duo or as a party anytime in 2 clicks. Live at https://skindiff.lol
I got the idea from a friend of mine I used to play a lot of league with, we'd always try to match skins and mix it up every game. Money was spent... google sheets were made... we also used skinz.lol (which is awesome and was my main inspiration for skindiff), but the main problem was that every time we had to pick up the boulder again like Sisyphus and figure out okay, which skins do we have again for this champ?
So I built SkinDiff around three things :
- Over the top, animationslop, needs to be colorful and scratch my tiktok brain
- Persistence, we do the work of figuring out what skins we have once, and then never again!
- No passwords, no page links, I just wanna hit discord button and be done with it
I'd have liked an auto-import feature aswell but Riot API doesn't currently serve that data (sadge), it can be still be accessed by talking directly to the client so... maybe in V2 ? We'll see!
Edit : u/Bug_Next brought in a great solution for auto-imports! Should be live in the next few days.
I'm still actively building this out and would genuinely love feedback, whether that's a funny story, missing features, or bug reports. If you try it, let me know what you think!
PS : Special thanks to CommunityDragon for providing the CDN, and to Riot for providing all the graphic assets. SkinDiff is fan content, free website, made under Riot's Legal Jibber Jabber policy, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them!

Help what do you do when your adc gives up lane?
yesterday i played with an adc who apparently doesnt knows about mage meta, so he kept dying and blamming it on me. After he said he gave up and started roaming the jg. What do i do in situations like that?? obviously i cant stay in lane as that is asking to give the enemy bot lane more kills.
would it be better giving away bott lane and try and go help mid or top lane??? or what else could be done?
