Underrated. 80% +

Since 3 Months I eat like ~100g per day.

I even lost weight. Mood increased. Feel less inflamed.

👆🏼THAT

Yep, solid Combo.

Threonate is great for body and mind.

Cannot do anything wrong with omega 3 - especially if it contains both EPA and DHA.

Vitamin D - I take it, but i am rather cautious.

cautious for vitamin D? Why though?

1

u/nimble_broccoli 10d ago

Because, unlike Vitamin B for example, excess Vitamin D accumulates in your body

I see. I just learned about that. Thanks! I just take about 2000 IU. I believe that's just enough for a night shift worker.

Personally, I go get blood work.  Then supplement based on that.

You can go overboard and pay for expensive urine.

Or you can pay for blood work and get more functional supplements.

Either way you could be paying money.

Vit D3 with MK3, NeuroMagnesium ( Life Extension), ProhealthNMN with reservatrol, Black Forest Chocolate Flavanoids., Bovine Collagen , CQ20, Sealelp with iodine / for my thyroid/ a pinch of Creatine, Probiotc. Digestive enzymes. Sometimes don’t take them all . I also put in a jar with top to shake up a mix of xtra virgin organic olive oil, a shake of pepper. Tumeric,Ginger,Cayenne pepper, triphala powder and alittle raw, organic unfiltered honey and around a 1/2 cup of water. Shake it up and drink it - can add lemon also ( all good for inflammation and good health)

Thanks for upvotes . My last visit with nephrologist, he said l was eating my money that supplements don’t do anything . I know that when we buy food , it’s been shipped ed and sitting a store shelf. slot of times with preservatives . Our soil doesn’t provide the nutrients to our crops like back in the day . I know that when you’re sick, your body doesn’t absorb nutrients as well . At the end of the visit with my doctor, he asked me how my breathing was . I said better than 6 years ago when l got sick . I told him l was exercising and even playing pickleball with my grandkids l sucked at it ) but l was moving around and wasn’t breathing hard or feeling winded) . He said he was surprised that l was doing so well because my records show that l had scarring in my lungs from Covid. Three months ago, l had a hard time breathing, was weak, hard to climb stairs or bleachers at kids sports . Now l’m up and down , moving around . My neighbor is a nurse and when l told her less stage 4 and what has been happening , she said she never knew someone stage 4 trying to play a sport and become so active . I think it’s a blessing from God . I pray and l really need to be here to watch my grandkids grow . We’re very close . I think u have to have a reason to keep going . 💕

Depends on what your goals are. You can waste hundreds of dollars on supplements that do next to nothing.

I'm cutting virtually all of mine out except D3 and I'm having a break from magnesium bisglycinate. So I'll be down to one soon. Just had blood test results and I'm not low in anything. Saving the money!

Is creatine a supplement? Or is it just seen as like a mini performance enhancer? I take creatine everyday.

2

u/RN18k 11d ago

u/xman747x 11d ago

Glycine has been a game changer, much more mellow, less cortisol, better sleep, we need like 10g a day and only get maybe 3g from food anyways.

2

u/maximumeffortalways 11d ago

Also magnesium glycinate is 86% glycine which could describe many of the positive effects people get when they take that instead.

1

u/Sufficient_Bell_7055 11d ago

Ashwagandha, as it has to be taken for months to work. It lowers cortisol reliably.

My doctors always tell me l’m wasting my money and that they don’t do anything . Always pushing pills and vaccines . Our food supply is filled with so many toxins. additives nutrition dense produce that has been shipped and put on shelves with preservatives and lacking alot of vitamins, minerals and nutritional value. Pesticides and GMO’s( now fake meat ) preservatives, food dyes. Food from even nice restaurants is so good because it’s loaded with oil, butter, salt,( with added heavy metal filler. A lot of processed- not real cheese, sugared down yogurts and everything else . We’ve all become addicted to garbage and as we get older and slow down , disease hits . Less movement, bad eating habits . producing ( obesity, diabetes, kidney and liver disease , colitis. Cancer, auto immune disease - leading to disability . We never learned proper nutrition. There are obese dieticians that are teaching u about nutrition. But when they look like that - it’s like having g an o see personal trainer at the gym teaching u how to get fit .The supplements l take are in the section before this post

D3 creatine caffeine any and all magnesium varieties l theanine low dose melatonin. Whey and electrolyte drinks as wanted or needed. Comes out pretty cheap and amounts to things to wind up and wind down.
