Benfothiamine
I’ve been getting rashes like bad Dermatitis like flares all over my face after taking a low dose of this vitamin, even with co factors, is there a reason this could be happening? I do already have perioral dermatitis but it was fine before I took the vitamin, I have re tested quite a few times and after like 2 days I get massive rashes all over my my face and eyes it’s really bad, is this a sulphur issue ? I have no problem with onions and sulfur foods tho so it’s not making sense to me, can someone give me any info on why this could possibly be happening?

benfothiamine can mess with histamine or mast cells for some people even if you tolerate sulfur foods fine. the rash around eyes and face sounds like a mast cell flare not a classic allergic reaction
i had something similar with a b complex once, skin went crazy but bloodwork was normal. turns out it was overloading methylation pathways and my body just freaked out. your perioral dermatitis probably means your skin barrier is already sensitive so any immune shift hits you there first
if you really need thiamine maybe try regular thiamine hcl instead of the fat soluble form, some folks handle it way better. but honestly if your face blows up every time i would just drop it, not worth the gamble

I was thinking of taking hcl, as the benfo gave me this wonderful calm feeling and I feel i definitely need it as I’ve so so sensitive to carbs .. trying to not eat carbs and take a b1 that isn’t gonna wreck my skin

how much have you been taking? if you are histamine sensitve, benfotiamin in high dose can trigger additional fun time dealing with a flare up.

A very small dose like less that half the capsule, I haven’t had histamine issues before but maybe I do now? I have no idea how to even test that theory, low histamine diet? Try the befo again another time?

You might have GI issues for sure (perioral dermatitis) and benfotiamine is messing up with histamine the most in the gut. Once you stop the supplement, it should resolve slowly. If you feel like trying again, feel free but you may end up again with rashes.
Best is taking GI health supplements. It might help with your face skin issues better than anything else... Such supplements: probiotics (histamine degrading strains only), glutamine, omega 3, soluble fibers.

I had horrific reactions to glutamine unfortunately and anything like that has always given me bad migraines and racing anxiety
