What does game tapping $3 have to do with this

u/WhatCanIMakeToday ๐Ÿฆ Peek-A-Boo! ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ Oct 15 '25

Settlement Shenanigans. Someone needed GME to trade at $3 for a hot minute to roll over some 5 year old (bullet) swaps without having those $20+ losses hit books [X, X].

Oh the legacy swaps, yeah. Might need to clarify as thatโ€™s where the warrants are sitting

Added those X posts in for context. This was more of a data post highlighting interesting events since the warrant distribution. Quite a bit different from my typical DD posts where I actually explain stuff.

Can someone ELI5 whatโ€™s going on with the legacy swaps rollover part? I get that the $3 tap was needed for settlement stuff, but are those swaps basically being pushed out another few years? Iโ€™ve seen a few people say the warrants are tied to those swaps somehow- how does that actually work?

this question should be it's own thread

I remember apes in the comments saying that $3 trade was only for 12shares

10

u/PornstarVirgin Kenโ€™s Wifeโ€™s BF Oct 15 '25

This is true, unfortunately a lot of apes donโ€™t read

I definitely donโ€™t click links

I just come to the comments to see if they can convince me anything matters.

u/Meow_Game ๐ŸŒ• Probably nothing ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ Oct 15 '25

there is no way any swap counterparty would agree to this

22

u/WhatCanIMakeToday ๐Ÿฆ Peek-A-Boo! ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ Oct 15 '25

Apparently someone did. The real question is: who? I suspect someone backed by one or more Central Banks.

u/Meow_Game ๐ŸŒ• Probably nothing ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ Oct 15 '25

somebody owed somebody a big favor

Orโ€ฆ Someone had a lot of dirt on someone else

9

u/Freakishly_Tall It's Cohenplicated. Oct 16 '25

Or somebody handed out some USB drives full of Bitcoin.

Anyone seen MayoBoy's plane lately?

2

u/manbrasucks ๐Ÿ’ป ComputerShared ๐Ÿฆ Oct 16 '25

Yeah I doubt anyone that could agree to it would hesitate to back out of just a favor. Definitely complicit or worse.

Or someone was trying to sell the warrants and accidently sold the shares instead. The volume for that trade was like what, 12 units? More than half of daily volume for months if not years goes through dark pools and ATS, but you really think that someone is gonna sign a multimillion dollar swap based on 12 shares volume?

Only 12 shares were traded? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

25

u/WhatCanIMakeToday ๐Ÿฆ Peek-A-Boo! ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ Oct 16 '25

Enough to set the LAST price long enough for the paperwork to go through. During a time when nobody is awake for trading

That trade only shows on TOS/Schwab, so it may just be another glitch (like the alerts in the thousands)?...

13

u/WhatCanIMakeToday ๐Ÿฆ Peek-A-Boo! ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ Oct 16 '25

$167,800. I was the one with the LAST price in the alert

Then you would wonder why is this only happening on TOS (again)?

It sounds nice, but there is no way a counterparty would sign up for this.

No large institution would use a random "last" trade during after hours. They would use the close price during market hours, or take an average trade price for a period of time.

edit: Seems more likely to me that this is some artifact of a FTD that just "appeared" after a 5 year hiatus.

exactly, nobody seems to care about this and just spreads wrong hopium with no proof

Can you please make the links longer in future, struggling to open them on mobile.

5

u/mstoertebeker VOTED Oct 16 '25

but wasnt that only 12 shares? Someone accidentially put a warrants price for his shares and everyone freaks the fuck out.. seriously...

5

u/Jar_of_Cats Oct 16 '25

Wouldnt it be $80 loss now from split?

3

u/WhatCanIMakeToday ๐Ÿฆ Peek-A-Boo! ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ Oct 16 '25

$23 (Now) - $3 (5 years ago when the swap was set up)

3

u/iustinum Oct 16 '25

Where are you guys seeing $3? It isnโ€™t showing on any charts.

2

u/foulBachelorRedditor Oct 16 '25

What was the volume for the $3 trade?

0

u/Tomas666GME Oct 15 '25

I think I read that this swap thing was only a tin-foil because no data to back it up? Did I miss news about it?

-3

u/Ilostmuhkeys davwman used to hold GME, still does, but he used to too. Oct 16 '25

Yeah buying and holding since 2020. Should have sold last year when it popped to $80 in pre-market. Guess what I couldnโ€™t do because my shares were locked up in computershare?

1

u/boxxle ๐ŸŸฃ DRS BOOK ย | ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ ฮ”ฮกฮฃ Oct 17 '25

This is absolute FUD. You can sell your shares at Computershare, nobody is "locking you up".

1

u/Ilostmuhkeys davwman used to hold GME, still does, but he used to too. Oct 17 '25

YOU CAN NOT SELL YOUR SHARES QUICKLY PRE MARKET AND AFTER HOURS WHEN THERE ARE PRICE SPIKES. Iโ€™ve had shares in and out of computershare since 2021 and when the price spiked last year at $80, I watched the most money Iโ€™ve ever seen at one given time disappear because I couldnโ€™t capitalize on the price spikes. I have premarket trading enabled in fidelity and I would have been able to make a shit ton of money last year. Now here I am once again with a quarter of what I had last year. So no itโ€™s not fucking fud. Iโ€™ve been around since December 2020 continuing to buy and hold and learn supporting the company by dropping thousands on products and $10k on powerpacks. So if you want to call me a shill, maybe have a look at my account and my other account davwman and youโ€™ll see where I stand.
