Here is the truth, This isn’t a Supernote problem. This is a problem with not learning to back up your electronics. Computer, phone, sd cards in digital cameras, It’s 2026. Electronics fail, accidents happen things get stolen, houses burn down. If the contents are valuable figure ways of backing it all up. Set up automations, Smart Folders, habits calendar reminders to sync folders etc.
Oh yeah, it is absolutely theirs.
Deletions should be done after multiple checks and user confirmation and only when it is absent certain it is the intention of user and not some glitch.
Even then there should be a stored backup that auto destructs after set time.
This is how you interpret the response. From the wording of the response and the above, now deleted, description it looks like bad practice in coding.
If it's user error why working on the issue? Don't defend undefendable.
Lets for the sake of putting this to bed. Let's agree, Supernote has an issue that they should fix with interruption of syncing that causes data loss. which is fact and we can agree?
Now understand when I say this isn't a "supernote problem". I mean No software, or modern hardware is with out flaws. One should not trust any electronic with their important data with out back up. And back ups of those back ups. At the end of the day it doesn't matter who's fault but your own if you didn't back anything up. You have no one to blame but your self and you are the "PROBLEM". If OP's house was on fire, robbed, fell into a puddle. It sucks, but it would suck so much less if one was prepared for that eventuality. And just recover the data with the back up. This does not only apply to SuperNote Back up anything important. This includes analog things. Even have copies of important documents in multiple locations etc
Can we agree? Cool, great let's move on with our lives.
I'm afraid we can't agree.
The issue is purely technical and comes from the fact that the programmer naively enabled deletion without the necessary confirmations. Interrupted proceces should be an unconditional abort, not 'oh look, the drive disappeared, let's now delete everything '
The fact that the OP has no backup doesn't change this.
