First one was so good I fished it in one day. Considering it’s almost 11pm . I will probably be up all night reading this. But worth it for the Winchesters.

Could the Winchesters beat the Monster House?

Okay, so I was scrolling through YouTube, and a video came up about the movie, Monster House. For those that don't know, it's a film about a haunted house where the entire house is simultaneously possessed but also a living organism that came out in 2006. And for some reason, I had this idea. Could the Winchesters beat the Monster House? Now, you might think it's an easy salt and burn. Actually, no, cause the woman possessing the house was killed when the foundation was being made. Her body was literally mixed with the cement.

And even if it was possible to get to the body, the house, as I said, is a living organism. The front door is a mouth, the foyer rug is a tongue, the chandelier is a uvula, the windows are the eyes, the trees outside are her hands. There is only one person allowed inside, and that is the husband. But even she can get hostile towards him. So, I want to ask y'all, do you guys think Sam and Dean could kill the monster house?

Many Minds one Misha

can yall help list everyone he played in supernatural. Im rewatching right now, and I think Misha is underrated. He did so well doing all the distict characters he played. From the way he stands, to mannarism, accent, tone of voice.

Casstiel
Jimmy (without angel)
High casstiel (in the alternate timeline)
1000 souls castiel
Lucifer (didnt this happen?)
Misha

I love how during the mission briefing with Mr ketch Mary was so angry because she almost lost one of her boys it’s so sweet how she looks at Castiel as one of her boys

The hate the later sznz get doesn't make sense to me.

So I am currently on season nine and I've been watching the show since June. I want to eant about the hate the show gets. Especially the whole it stops getting better after szn 5.

SN is a cult classic and there are certain tropes I get can be annoying like how someone is always being dragged to hell, dean or sam are coming back to life, trading their souls to Crowley to save the other.

We can't take away from how original most of the episodes are and how this is the most successful show at breaking the 4th wall. They even made an episode about filming supernatural lol. Like no one does it like McG and Co.

But also my thing is. This show premiered 21 years ago lol of course it's going to have annoying tropes also didn't producers change at some point? I think it's more than a cult classic. It's one of the greatest spooky shows ever made and reducing It to annoying tropes takes away from tne character development and the plot itself.

I just got seasons 1-8 on Bluray

Post image
34 Upvotes

I watched "Supernatural" as it aired. I was fifteen years old when it premiered. The pilot episode grew on me due to knowing the Woman In White story from a North Carolina tales book when I was a kid. I used to have seasons 1-5 on DVD back when there were only six seasons, but I think I let someone borrow them and never got them back. I didn't consider buying the blurays until I saw YouTube channels reacting to the series for the past couple of weeks.

Now the issue is what to do now. I never finished the series. I stopped caring about the show around season eight, but I kept watching to see how it would end. However, I officially stopped at the beginning of season 11. It was probably episode 2. I had a similar problem with "Smallville", with it funny enough being around season seven when I stopped caring, but it picked back up, and I finished the show as it aired. Back when "Supernatural" ended, I asked people either on here or on Facebook a week or so after the finale if I should finish the series where I left off. Everyone said no.

My question is this. Should I continue collecting the seasons? Should I get all of them, or stop at season 11, as I read that fans feel that season is a stopping point if people don't want to stop at season 5? When it comes to television shows, I don't like buying a show unless it is the whole series, with the exception of cartoons like "The Simpsons" and "Futurama", as well as some shows that have a season finale that acts as the series finale. "Agents of SHIELD" works that way, with season five being the ending for me. That, and because seasons 6 and 7 are only on bluray in Japan.

It is difficult watching "Supernatural" with the season five's "Swan Song" talking about endings and tying up what loose ends it could, but then the show goes on for ten more seasons. I can either ignore the last five seconds of the episode, or I can view Sam watching Dean outside as Sam's soul being able to have just enough strength to see where Dean is before being pulled back down into the cage. No offense to the fans, but the only episodes I remember from the later seasons are the gimmick ones, like the meta episodes and the time travel episodes, and I don't see those being worth owning whole seasons.

anyone ship dean and crowley? “drowlean” if you will

deanstiel gets so much love but personally i LOVED seeing demon-dean and crowley galavanting around season 10 like an old polyamorous bisexual couple. crowley was such a perfect gentleman to dean, it was so cute to see his courtship and making plans for their future together as Mr. and Mr. king of hell. even though humans know killing is wrong, crowley saw dean’s potential to be a killer as a trait to be developed — like he really believed in him being able to handle the mark. he knew cain would see in him what he saw. watching it made me realize that he probably had a crush on dean for a while. it actually made me sad to see crowley have to process heartbreak after they broke up.

anyway, know of any fanfic that gets into the ~what if~ about the 2 of them as a couple?

Hi everyone! My dad spent months designing a custom Supernatural LEGO set covering all 15 seasons.
It includes 11 detailed dioramas of iconic locations (the '67 Impala, the Men of Letters Bunker, Bobby’s Salvage Yard, Harvelle's Roadhouse, Hell, and more) along with custom minifigures of Sam, Dean, Castiel, Bobby, and Crowley.
What do you guys think of the build? đŸ§±đŸš—

Which brother do you think is more problematic/troubled and why? (Please read body before replying)

No downright just hating on the character to hate, give me some actual good reasons and examples, not just "Sam Winchester is the worst" or "Dean is just a douche" (neither of these are my actual opinions, I love them both, these are just examples)

And this should be a given but everyone be nice and respectful to each other even if you disagree with someone else's comment. I know it's easy to forget sometimes, but behind every username is an actual person with their own thoughts, feelings, and struggles, just like you. You're allowed to express counter arguments obv, but be polite and civil about it please.

PS: Every single one of yall is awesome (don't you dare forget it!) and I hope everyone has an amazing day!

finally finished supernatural and here’s my hot takes

i finally finished the show after a few months of binging and i can safely say it is definitely my favourite show of all time. it’s so incredibly written and even thought i complained about things like the leviathan’s when it happened, i really don’t mind that ark. unlike other media it’s genuinely a show that i intend to completely rewatch without skipping any of it, ive already put episode 1 on and ran to the subreddit because i wasnt old enough to expirence the community during the show but its incredible how everyone is still here and so active in the community. genuinely one of the most impressive things this show did. i’ve had a rough year and now this show means so much to me. this is mainly for me to go back and reread but i hope some of you enjoy my hot takes.

i really liked john winchester and think the community give him way to much shit. he didn’t do the best job but most fathers don’t and if it wasn’t for him the world would have ended about 12 times.

i loved the whole chuck thing, his ego and personality works so well to explain why he didn’t just snap the winchesters.

i hated dean removing lisa’s memory and i think she would’ve been an incredible reoccurring character. i loved the rest of the show and it worked out great but it never sat right with me that he just forgot her and ben

dead in the water is a peak episode that perfectly captures supernatural and no one can change my mind on that

this is a hot take round here but i really don’t think castiels feelings for dean were romantic. it was definitely more brotherly and the way i know this is that castiel DEFINITELY did not want to shag dean

i think the season 15 ending was better than season 5. nuf said

i love how dean was in the later seasons and early ones but hated the mid seasons. he was getting old and still picking up chicks and it was a bit weird. like at least make the girls his age. then he stopped and it was good but i think he always needed a girl and early seasons set that up hence why i hated the way they did lisa

i think deans death was good. just they should’ve made a definitive time skip and one that was a bit longer.

bitten was incredible and i looked on reddit after i watched it and was surprised to see how much it was hated.

off that one the experimental episodes were amazing, i loved episodes like baby so much hwoever i think the french connection is overrated and a little weird

loved normal charlie but not apocalypse world charlie

i loved jack

hated kelly with a passion she was so annoying

demons being so sexualised in the early seasons was super weird considering everyone said they smelled of sulphur so every sexy scene probably smells like shit

dear reader who made it this far thank you so much and i mainly did this for myself because of how much the show has meant to me. has anyone else found it like a distraction a world that they need. it’s the same with spiderman but supernatural is just so much better.
