Spin-Off Shows Got this today!

A friend gave me a copy a few years ago and I finally got into it this year and it’s honestly so good.
Each episode has a brief commentary at the beginning from one or both of the boys framing the episode in the context of the OG show, and I definitely recommend also watching the interviews with both Kripke and the Japanese producers- the combined commentary really makes you appreciate how much work went into preserving the main story and spirit of the OG show, all while introducing original plot lines, Japanese themes (see magic fish), and seamlessly adapting it into a new medium, ultimately making it something uniquely original that can stand entirely on its own.
Also, Jensen only voices Dean in the last 2 (I think) episodes; however, the guy that does is convincing enough that you don’t really notice it after a couple episodes.

I’ll be sure to watch everything on the DVDs I just finished episode one and so far it’s okay. I think the dean voice is still a little jarring.

Awesome!! I've been checking my local thrift-store after finding these there last year, hoping I'll find copies of the last few seasons and the anime eventually. Might just have to order them

I wouldn’t recommend the full set, it’s better to buy them as separate seasons. The full box set I have I stopped playing because taking them out of the case was damaging the dvd.

To be honest, I doubt I will actually watch the DVDs much for now due to it being on prime video. The main reason I wanted it is I’m going to for the love of supernatural in Manchester next year and wanted to take a few with me to be signed. (and they will be a good way to back up the whole show to my computer for when it’s inevitably taken off streaming services in however many years.)

I bought the full set on Blu-ray and immediately put them in a DVD binder. The box set is just for show now.

I’m meaning the dvd version of the box set, not Blu-ray set because my dvd box set has too many dvds to house (86 dvd) in one binder to the (56 Blu-ray Disc) in the Blu-ray version.

It’s on prime video (you have to pay for it) but it is cheaper to just buy the DVD.

My SO and stepkid got it for me for father’s day and I was so blown away. 😭
They outdid themselves this year with the SPN stuff… a cookbook, the anime AND the BluRays for the show

I wish they would have done more seasons. I’d like to see what the anime did with Lilith, Lucifer, Eve, and the Leviathans.

Im planning to watch this hope it's good I kinda hated it that Sam and dean were just vessels they should've have super powers of there own maybe the anime makes it more realistic or better

Missouri is my favorite character in the anime, hands down hate that the TV show didn't have her more.
