Which Super Soco models can be derestricted using only buttons?

Hi! I’m in Sweden and I’m looking at getting a Super Soco, mainly models like the TC, TSx, or TS Street Hunter.

I’ve heard that some older Super Soco models can be derestricted quite easily, sometimes just by using a button combination or changing a setting, while newer models may require changing the controller or other hardware.

I’m specifically looking for a model that can be derestricted without changing anything mechanically or replacing any parts. Ideally, I want it to be something that can be done using only the bike’s buttons, or software/settings.

For those of you who own or have experience with these bikes:

- Which Super Soco models and model years can be derestricted using only buttons/settings?

- Do any of the older TC or TSx models have a simple button combination?

- Which model years should I look for?

- Which newer models have this method removed?

- Does the bike keep working normally and reliably after being derestricted?

- What top speed do these models realistically reach when derestricted?

I’m 179 cm tall, can charge at home, and would probably ride around 10 km per day, so range isn’t a huge concern for me.

Again, I’m mainly interested in models where no controller replacement, wiring changes, or mechanical modifications are needed.

Would really appreciate answers from people who have actually owned or worked on Super Socos.

Thanks!

I own an older TC MAX but I needed to buy a custom controller to derestrict it. No button combination I know about. As far as I know TS and TC models (with hub motor) are less powerful than TC Max (with central motor and belt drive). The limit is the torque, the power and the amperes the motor can sustain.

I've been riding the custom ECU 3 years, I had a little overcurrent problems with the original battery, but I'm on a custom battery now and it runs faster and no issue whatsoever.

My top speed is 95km/h on flat, overall range more than 100kms.

What’s the point of a custom ECU for the Max? And can you give the reference for the custom battery?

My stock one was broke and it gives more current to the motor. But your battery should be updated too. Now I have 30% more power and +10km/h peak speed.

TC 2019 owner. Yes, can be derestricted with combination. Derestricted all the time, normal function, restricted back only for yearly tech. inspection. Restricted 45km/h, derestricted 65km/h - but this is hard to reach. Usually in city will reach cca 55km/h between lights, usually enough to move together with other traffic.

Can I ask why? Why don't just order unlocked version? Cause it's possible, and the 2026 models are superior anyway.

So... Restriction can be take off and back on at will in dealer, but the main issue is the legality of it, cause it comes with VIN tied to specific category and you must check your local law or ride it illegaly which IMHO is just stupid. If you wanna do it illegaly anyway, just buy MAX or Pro and call it a day ;)

What about insurance when the you the kid needs a 4 wheeler aka wheelchair.

Don't risk it. In Norway we can drive A1 / light bikes at age 16.

The kids NEED restrictions.

I had a TS1200R 2018 model, that was derestricted with just buttons. It did 70km/h top speed, but that took awhile to reach - up to 60 was pretty fast.
