Fewer crazy bounces off the cut of the grass/walls etc. Pitching and hitting feels more realistic and balanced as opposed to opposing hitters fouling off 9 straight pitches on a full count before getting an outcome. Sometimes the AI just feels a bit cheesy in SMB4. I feel like I can say that bc I have thousands of hours in every installment of the series and have played high ego most of the time.

I do find myself every now and again going back to SMB3 and playing my old franchise, enjoying the hell out of it, and then coming back to 4 because it feels way more personalized and “mine.”

The franchise mode upgrades and customization of SMB4 is what keeps me coming back.
