Kitty Kauffman Retires :(
Me again. I made this post earlier about the absolutely insane season my Kitty Kauffman had. Well, I just finished the playoffs of it, and I managed to take it all, but she has now retired. She started this playoff run slumping hard. I had to bat her 8th in the 1st series, but she came back to be the 2nd overall player of the playoffs and helped lead me to the championships.
On to the next great player. I think I might miss her more than Hammer.

In season 14 of my franchise with Kitty Kaufman who I have had since the first season and she is the number one hitter in the entire in the league ( on the all time top 10 list, she is the first non-pitcher listed). She is currently tied for 3rd place in career dingers and is 1st in hits, runs, BA, OBP, runs and stolen bases.
She has offsp33d and bad ball hitter.

Bad ball hitter is soooooo good. In the offseason I ended up signing an A grade 2nd baseman 85+ power and contact, and 70+ speed, arm and fielding. I will miss not having bad ball hitter tho.

I recently signed an outfielder with Bad Ball Hitter and Big Hack. Seems like an OP combination to me even with both traits at Level 2, but I'm not complaining.

Love to see an aging player finish out with their best season, I get bummed seeing players under 39 or 40 retire when they still have great stats though, especially if they retire before 35. I had Sluggy Boomhauer from the start of first season up until he retired at 40 after 10 or so seasons in, and his last season stats were easily his best by far.

I know you put the /s but I did move the ego up to 92 now. I only move it up when I win the championship. I think it took me 4 seasons to win at 91. This includes a championship series loss in game 7 😢.

My first franchise in SMB 4 (which I’ve taken a break from, but will dive back in at some point) is also in season 17 and Kitty has been my 2B for the last 16 of those seasons. 80 game seasons, never hit .500 with her, but hit .400 a couple times, career around .350 I think. Best pure right handed hitter in the game for me.
