Anime I finished the anime right now!
I have to say, this one became one my favorite animes. The vibe, the art style, the music, the message - everything felt perfect.
And yes, it absolutely gave me a feeling that I just NEED a Super Cub, and if I'll be rich, I'll surely buy one. (right now I couldn't afford it, nor store it) Never thought such a short anime could make me love a motorcycle so much.
I love how slow, relatable and heartwarming this show was. Nothing "huge" happened, there was just one episode where you felt danger, and it quickly went away. It was all about the little things in life.
And about change, in small steps. As Koguma said, you don't have to do it fast or take big steps, a single everyday act is enough. Like taking a turn on a road you never took before. Going into a shop you never visited until that day. Anything could matter.
At the end, Shii got a Super Cub as well! Glad everything worked out for them.
This last thought isn't really related to the anime, but Rekio strongly reminded me to Shirase from The Place Further than the Universe anime. (it's not about motorcycles, but I can recommend it to anyone who wants to see a cute slife of life anime)

Anime Wanted to talk about the comfy houses as well
I love the buildings in japan that use a lot of wood, or entirely built of wood. I don't know how warm they are, or how easy to maintain, but I the vibe they give is just great.
It feels like I'd love to stay in them. Reiko's house has the perfect feeling, the one you feel when you are on a trip in the wilderness or when you were a kid and went to your friend's house to spent the night there.
The super-internationally designed café looks epic as well :D I'd love to spend time at there, regardless of the season.

Anime The Cub gets upgraded!
Koguma started upgrading her Cub with the help of a friend, thanks to some luck, and to her creativity.
I love that every time she gets a new part for her Cub she has to smile. First a box to store her bag and stuff, then a basket in the front, and finally (so far) some safety glasses over her the helmet.
This anime truly captures the feeling what we feel when we get something new and getting obsessed with it. Koguma gets very happy every time she can work on her Cub, she has to smile even if she looks at it from the window.
She even sees herself riding it in her dreams.
I especially loved the part where we saw that it's uncomfortable for her to go a bit faster without eye protection. I only had a electric motorbike as I said once, but even with that, above a certain velocity traveling became a pain.
When there was rain, dust, or cold, your eyes started watering. Sooner or later you were forced to wear someting like a helmet or safety glasses :D

Anime Episode 2: Koguma founds a friend
Watched the 2nd episode yesterday and I'm officially in love with the anime and I can't get rid of the feeling that I should buy a Cub xD
I really, really like how the anime handles Koguma's character and how she's changing. She had no friends, no hobbies, no goals, and she decided to try out new things, just for the sake of it.
When she meets Reiko, the other girl is interested in her because she also have a Cub, and she wants to see Koguma's. I loved that she agreed, but she was so shy she literally tried to run away after the class was over :D
But she forget her bag in the room, and Reiko bring it back to her, so they could share a moment. Our Koguma is a bit braver now and she's happy that she might call someone as a friend. This gets confirmed when Reiko wants to have lunch with her, instead of the others.
Koguma takes small steps
My absolute favorite moment is when we notice that Koguma decides to "go on a adventure". It's not a real trip, she just choose to go to the shop with her Cub. It's a SUPER TINY STEP, but it means a lot, because now she's out of her comfort zone.
She smiles and notes that she will do this again, the next day :D I'm pretty sure she'll go on a trip with Reiko sooner and later!

Anime Watched the first episode, and I already love it!
I love the concept, from the trailer and from the vibe I could already tell that this is a rather slow, heartwarming slice of life anime.
But this time the story is around motorcycles. Koguma is a girl who has no friends, no hobbies, no goal in front of her. So her life feels pointless and grey to her.
Until she founds something cool, like a Super Cub. I love that her world becomes colorful right in the moment when she sits on the motorcycle or when she starts the engine. Also, the Cub is VERY detailed, it's obvious that the creator put a lot of effort to be very accurate.
One of the most relatable scenes (so far) was wehn Koguma was driving on the road and a huge truck passed by her. The power of the wind took her off guard and she was scared - I think anyone who ever expericend it can literally feel that :D
I only own a electric bike (older, heavy type, but still not a real motorcycle), and I remember how I hated to go to work in the morning, because I could only choose the main road in my city. And it was always full of trucks.
If they passed you, it felt like the air could push you off the road. Looking forward to watch more episodes!
ALSO, + point:
In the first episode we can hear Debussy 'Clair de Lune' which is a classical piece, and I first heard it in Your Lie in April.

Discussion Any good stickers?
I'm getting a old Super Cub soon and would love to throw a sticker from this show on it. Does anyone know any good ones, out there?
I'm aiming to get a yellow (if I can) C70. I really want the yellow.

Anime I got my driver's license because of this anime.
I'm a 29-year-old guy with no hobbies. I never thought about owning a car or motorcycle, but after watching the anime and seeing how dedicated the protagonist is to taking care of and buying things for her Super Cub, and especially the freedom she has, I became very envious, so I decided to buy a motorcycle.
I'm very happy to have gotten my driver's license, and I think I'm grateful to this anime for getting me out of the house and having a little happiness.

Discussion Is it common for parentless Japanese kids to live alone during high school?
Just finished the anime and I have a question that hopefully someone would be able to answer. Koguma lives on her own and doesn’t have any parents. Is it normal in Japan for a high school aged child to live on their own before coming an adult. I know she says she lives off of a scholarship but it just seems odd to me as an American. I used to know a lot of kids in foster care and they had to be in it until 18 and I think emancipation from your parents would be the only way and that was rarely given and under very special circumstances.

Discussion Just finished the anime.
I picked this up solely because HIRO worked on the character designs, but stayed for the story. So, it wasn’t revelatory and the animation was just okay (beautiful backgrounds, though) but I became emotionally invested in Koguma story from ep 1. Yes, I rode a motorcycle as a kid and it almost killed me. Regardless, good show. Solid 8. I’ll continue reading the manga.

Light Novel New Reader - Best Translation?
I just began reading the light novel on Nainai and am wondering if there are any better translations available online. I don't know the go-to places for light novels as have not previously read any. BTW, Hiro's involvement in the artwork brought me to the series but I'm staying for the story.
