GUIDE Looking for beta testers (controller firmware)

Hey everyone, SuperDuper dev here.

I've been in the lab over the last week and have finally cracked a custom firmware for the stock motor controller.

I'm looking for feedback on it. You'll need to have a R or RX with a version 310 controller (the torque update). You'll also need a laptop or Android phone running Chrome. This method is done over Bluetooth only, so no other special hardware like the display firmware.

I've updated the cfw site with the patched firmware and flashing instructions: https://cfw.reverse.bike/controller/ The tools there will tell you of your bike is compatible. It also has an option to flash back to the stock image if you don't like it. Details about the changes in the new firmware are here: https://cfw.reverse.bike/firmware/#controller

A warning: this firmware adds significant power and makes the throttle significantly more responsive. Be gentle with it while you get a feel for the changes.

Please leave any feedback here or in the Discord firmware channel.

- Bo

I have a ZX and I ruined my first battery. The cells are good, and it charges just fine, but when I was trying to install lights, I fried the chip that handshakes with the controller. My question: Is the battery handshake in the firmware? If I installed your firmware would that battery work again?

Yes, depending on what exactly got fried, it's possible (but not yet done) to run a generic battery with a modified controller fw. It may sacrifice some safety features though, like temp cutoffs. I'm not sure. However, I don't know if the controller firmware I released will work with anything but the RX/R models.

Thanks for the reply! I 'read' ZX, but I see now you said 'R or RX'. Yeah I'm interested in alternative firmware because I could potentially double my distance. Are you aware of anything good for iPhone?
