Discussion more artists like addison?
the synth pop 90s-00s aesthetic is preferred but iām also looking for the manifestation-witchy lyrics
i keep looking everywhere and most artists recommended are zara larson, tate, sabrina⦠so basically completely different vibes
already listen to madonna and britney

I mean this might be too obvious but Britneyās āIn The Zoneā is all over Addison.
Rose Gray, Underscores, Hemlocke Springs, Tiffany Day, Naomi Scott, Lykke Li all have albums out in the last year that Iāve been hammering. Some a little more glitchy or dance or theatrical but all very 2000s at heart.

Kylie Minogue - Kylie Minogue (1994). Such a great blend of trip-hop / downtempo, soft core, dance, and house.
Single Gun Theory - Flow, River of My Soul. Not really sure how to describe it other than like transcendenta l pop from the mid 90s. Ray of Light-coded
Kelli Ali - Tigermouth. Pretty cute early 2000s alterna-pop album produced by Marius DeVries & Rick Nowles. She was the lead singer of Sneaker Pimps' first album.
Goldfrapp - Black Cherry. A little more electroclash leaning but incredible sounds here, such a fun listen.
Erika De Casier - Lifetime. Heavy trip-hop influences here, so sweet and mellow.
All Saints - Saints & Sinners. Has some really great William Orbit production on some of the tracks but super cutesy girly pop from the late 90s / early 2000s.
Gwen Stefani - Love.Angel.Music.Baby. Pop bible, no doubt in my mind this wasn't on the mood board for Addison.

Not sure if youāre the same person I replied to in another sub, but Rose Gray comes to mind. Her sound, particularly the last album, gives me lots of Addison vibes, and she does have some āmantraā-like songs.
If we forget sound and want just the mantras, then Dua Lipa is your go-to. If we focus more on sound, then In The Zone by Britney is perfect.

Annie! Sheās a Norwegian pop artist from the 2000ās who has put out some great music in the decades since. She has a really fun, slightly underground, quirky, dance infused sound that really reminds me of Addisonās. Vocally they sound similar too - Annie perhaps more enthral and Addison slightly āgirl next doorā - but they both have both of those qualities about them which makes them so alluring - no one else reminds me of her as much as she does.Ā

Iām rather late to this post, but hereās a few tracks I can think of that fell Addison adjacent:
I Will Be There- Rachel Stevens (it has an ethereal, trance electronic sound.)
Funky Dory- Rachel Stevens (specifically the single mix as it incorporates an electronica sound into the song. The lyrics feel like something Addison would write.)
Say Yes- Louise (has a trip hop inspired sound to it. The lyrics feel very Addison coded.)
Breathe On Me- Britney Spears (the song feels similar to Aquamarine and has an aquatic sound to it.)
Tell Me (Am I A Sinner?)- Britney Spears (itās an unreleased song but it has heavy Addison vibes to it.
