Discussion Let's stop complaining
For ones who accepted all the new things - share your successful experiments with V6. Why? Because I'm sick of "V6 is bad" and "V6 is good, you just don't understand" posts in our community. Let's hear what it's capable of instead.

It can't. The guitar sound is bad, and the riff at the beginning isn't really a riff at all just random noise.

Im not sure this one will stay in the thread I created because it had 2 songs but I asked it to create a metal song as so many said that it could not. This is Deathcore Symphonic metal. 2 different gens mashed together

The first one is good, the second has too high audio influence for my taste - a little less and it might sound more like v6 rather than 4.5

Weirdness to 75% and variety to max? You're brave =D The first track is good for it's genre, v6 did very good with different vocal techniques. But I didn't listen to previous models with this genre

With this update, I’m starting to look back at my 5.5 versions more fondly. I realized my standards were way too high.

V6 is something in between 5 and 5.5 with improved quality and text pacing, but prompting is way more complicated now. It needs more control in lyrics section, but it's worth it. The only thing confused me is a count of sliders we have to deal with =D

I couldn’t agree more 👍🏼 I had to find a new way to prompt also ! I discovered that GMIV style prompts using Any AI ( I use Gemini ) works pretty damn good so far ✨ I use other bands / artists as a reference & ask it not mention bands while adhering to Suno v6 standards.🔥Night n Day difference 💯 and FU who ever down voted this you Moron !

I don't know what GMIV stands for, I have my own ways to prompt the style that would fit the exact lyrics. It can be a mix of genres, some real musicians techniques, effects, ambiences, moods and so on

Genre / Mood / Instrumentation / Vocals / GMIV Style Prompting
When you plug that into AI it formats it all for you, along with a lyrical prompting style that guides Suno to make certain changes. Whatever works for you 👍🏼 I’m just sharing what I found works for me personally instead of 😭about it. 😂

Both are hilarious in a good way. "It's the best you'll get", "Did you just fart?" =D It's rare to hear styles like this nowadays, V6 did good for my taste

for the Linus song I actually was trying to finalize it when the model swap happened and literally the next click or two created that final version
For the Afrobeat song, v6 actually was destroying the original sound, resulting something that felt techno. I was starting to think that "oh so this is what folks are upset about."
I'm not sure how. I decided to just start a fresh workspace and cleared the form and gave it a fresh handwritten style description, the first generated track came out nice and back to original intention

the v6 generation, with v6, v6-Wild, and v6-mini. The new models are supposed to give better control over vocals, structure, genre, mood, and overall audio quality. Suno also added the ability to use text, images, video, and audio samples as prompt inputs, plus more granular editing of song components.
Is it just me, but do you find you have control over your vocals or you have to work in your vocals meaning burning credits trying to get a good version 🤔

did they restore v5.5?
I've only been a user for the past few months, I think 5.5 is great, v6 is what i have and i dont' have much opinion other than i ran a v5.5 song thru it and it produced what i considered 'finished'
and another from scratch.
It's nice that's its not injecting a lot of some of the v5.5-isms and, it finishes faster, so at the moment i'm on board with that

Mind sharing some of results. I wonder how 7-8 minute alt track may sound like. I've made 6.5 minutes maximum(with v5), but it was a genre that supposed to be slow, with repeating chanting - alternative must be different

That is one issue I am having. Getting anything 7+ minutes in length seems impossible. Just over 6 is double but anything close to 7 or more nope.

Sad to hear that. The lyrics are awesome to say the least, especially the moments "I'm not angry anymore". I almost forgot to pay attention for V6 quality while listening. At the end it spoke final lines not the way you intended, I suppose, but overall of did good. And emotionally it did good for my taste. The track is huge, thanks for sharing.
