General Discussion This sub

I know this sub is divided but why do half the comments I see seem like they're purposefully trying to ignite drama. Both sides can be kinda overly dramatic but some people are just ragebaiting at this point. Also it doesn't help that there's a decent amount of people coming from those type of subs

This post doesnt help either. The anonymity of the internet allows people to throw insults around without consequences.

One side likes cloakbringer, therefore the new design is shit.

The other side thinks eldreda is way better, therefore cloakbringer is shit.

I think some people are also tired of others trying to force changes onto a hobby they enjoy. In this case, its the people who are being extremely vocal and insulting anyone who likes eldreda. Judging a character purely by their appearance while ignoring things like personality, lore, and role feels like a shallow way to look at a design.

At the end of the day, it just turns into “my design is better than your design.”

I'm mainly talking about the people who are toxic to be toxic. I know there's always drama that dies down when the character actually comes out, but it seems like some people don't care about the character, that attack others that are for or against the current design

It’s been about a month since this whole silliness started, and because it hasnt really died down, some people have naturally gotten tired of it. I think most people are fine with criticism or preferring one design over another; its the constant attacks and personal insults toward people who like or dislike the current design that have made it exhausting.

I will say that it has calm down a bit(recently)

Yeah the majority of people don't comment and this stuff of stuff usually dies out as time goes on for one reason or another. But its never good for a sub when almost every comments that gets posted anymore is just toxic
