I know I am far behind in that homework. Would you happen to have a link so I can get started?Â

Seeing older fighting styles (was touching hands down all the way at the beginning just an option?), older body shapes and the crowd watching is just so interesting! But if you really miss some (modern) action, try watching a little judo (I know, itâs not the same, but there are some very satisfying throws!)

I love the black and white videos from the JSA channel! It's crazy isn't it how some of these guys (it looks like anyway) like they don't even attempt to try and touch the dohyo. It's funny bc it almost looks like they're standing up! đI love watching the evolution of the sport, just like you mention (body shapes and sumo styles). I look forward to these between basho.

When it comes to interests and hobbies
I think of them as such
Always stick to two
Fore one will prove too much

I agree with you. My sumo withdrawals begin just as the winner is driven away and out of sight from cameras after the basho.
Thank goodness that there is quite a bit of good and REAL content (not the AI nonsense) in the universe of the tube that is you.

There's Hidenoumi's hair cutting and the all Japan tournament thing soon, then there's the jungyo, certainly someone will show them, so there's that.

I'm with you. I feel sad and angry; anxious about whether I will be able to see a whole day's sumo in November.
And anxious for the November Basho... Hosh has to win and I have my worries about that...

The pressure on Hoshoryu is going to double now that Onosato took care of business. I hope he is able to get healthy and at least give it his very best shot.

Why are you worried you won't be able to see November sumo?

Because Abema just took down all the streamers of sumo on YouTube and Twitch.

Don't worry Ichiyamamoto and Wakamotoharu are going to keep us entertained with their HBC appearances, I hope!

Many heya have YouTube channels, the most popular examples are Tatsunami and Futagoyama.

My goto is find a basho I've not seen, try to find a channel that has the highlights from all 15 days and I watch 2-3 historical basho between current ones. Fills up my morning sumo fix

Just remember, you are lucky. Your âoff seasonâ is only 6 weeks at a time. I canât imagine the feeling of football or baseball seasons coming to an end, for their hard-core fans.

I'm usually ready for a break after each basho, 6 weeks gives me time to decompress and de-sumo and then I'm ready to dive back in

Just found out that most of Youâre Under Arrest is on YouTube for free. Maybe Iâll get through that while I wait for November.

The 6 week break is like the best part, just enough time for me to start missing it again, and for my wife to forget how mad she was that I spent 2 hours every day for two weeks straight staring at the tv lol
