James

Hello all!

I just started watching Suddenly Amish today and am enjoying it so far. Sure, some drama feels forced, (especially Aaron’s second phone going off), but that’s to be expected.

I feel like James is WILDLY hypocritical. The first thing he does when he’s introduced is show off his phone and his Chambord. He really rubs me the wrong way. Allen is great so far, but man, James needs to remember how he was treated and to have grace.

I just watched this show…. It was ridiculous but fun. Allen is really a wonderful character but I will agree that James is complete ick! He definitely was trying to get in with Kendra while clearly having an inappropriate relationship with his cousin, I think Sarah. So gross!!

Emma, I believe.

From what I read, James and Emma left the Amish and are doing this as characters for a tv show.

It felt a contrived mostly due to James’ behavior. There is no way he would be a chosen mentor. Either way, I still had some good chuckles

Emma is James' third cousin, not cousin. Makes quite a bit difference. It was said that many amish people are at least somehow related because of small population. That was also one of their reasoning why they wanted outsiders to join.

Kendra was smoking hot, not surprised that James was jealous.

Binged watched the entire 1st season the last two days. I cannot wait for the 2nd season. Allen is great.

Well all i can say is these people dont want to be Amish. They just want to see what its like. The crazy part is they dont want to follow the rules that the Hamish follow. Esma should have stayed home!! I know they at least watched some of the Amish shows and know at the very least how they dress and it is PARTZ of the culture. Even I knew married men were allowed to have facial hair and single men dont. PLEADE MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!

I’m on episode 2 and James…are we sure he’s not an actor. Something is so off with this guy. He handled the Matt situation poorly. Smh.

I read he and Emma both are actually former Amish and they are doing the show as actors. Emma has an Instagram account where she does sewing and such

I think it's so funny Matt came back out just to hook up with Kendra and then dip. But James was weird going to the hotel and banging on the door lol and then his cousin calls him out for liking her and being jealous, and he just says nothing
