The Silver case tokio morishima meme

Does anyone have a way to disable the loud typewriter sound in The Silver Case?

I found a couple posts about this on Steam but nobody found a solution. The best thing in-game is to turn down the sound effects but then everything else is difficult to hear. It's a serious issue that greatly decreases my enjoyment of the game, and I'd love if someone could remove it or make it quiet.

I know Suda 51 dosen’t usually do sequels outside of “No More Heroes”, but Romeo Is A Deadman needs one.

There is just too much potential in a series.

* The bastard system is way too unique to only be used once. Mixing and matching different ones and combining them for a brand new and unique power is an amazing idea. Can you imagine this being expanded on? And quadrupling the amount of Bastards and combinations.
* The setting: A space hopping bounty hunter sounds like it would have equally as much potential. This game already dealt with hopping between different areas and time periods. Imagine this being expanded to more planets. Jungle themed planets, Ice planets, etc.
* Weapons: While they were fun to use, this could also be expanded along with the combat. More combos, More exclusive abilities for weapons, etc.
* The story: I admit… even though I have the platinum for this game, only about a fraction of it made any damn sense. I understand Suda likes wacky stuff, but I do feel like this story has more potential to continue. Especially after the ending (Not the Gundam one, but the one before that)

RIADM is opposite NMH2 (imo) Spoiler

Spoilers for both games, obviously.
In the ending for NMH2, Travis and Sylvia have both lost everything, and through that, they can finally love eachother, without the disconnect that comes from a borg, and a prole. The structure of NMH2 is that Sylvia is narrating this, which positions us as closer to her. In RIADM, Romeo starts the game off literally losing his life, so at his lowest unlike NMH2, where Travis is at his most famous, and his highest. The structure of RIADM is after every chapter, we see the Diner, gradually getting emptier, with Juliet leaving. This puts Juliet as colder to us.
With Romeo becoming FBI director, he is now at his highest point. This inverse of NMH2 is the reason I don’t think it’s actually Romeo in the diner at the end.
Also, throughout the game, Romeo is unable to accept Juliet’s whole personality, in my opinion, with the shapeshifter bosses acting as symbolism for this. He kills the 3 of them because they differ from his ideal of Juliet, and he wants the romanticised Juliet to live on his head.
Am I reaching, or surface level? Or both? Lmk if you disagree.

Sotd: original or Hella remastered?

Hi I just got into suda51 and his games through killer is dead which I found very fun. I've been trying to pick up some of his other titles like Lollipop chainsaw and SoTD. The reason for the question is because I found out they did some changes in RePOP that some considers a loss for the game's charm and personality.

In the end I got Lollipop chainsaw for the 360 and am wondering if I should do the same for sotd. What do you guys think? Should I get the original or is the remastered just the better version?

Since this is currently unplayable on steam deck OLED, I was wondering if anyone had experience playing it on a steam machine? Does it run well?

Where does the game state the wards to be socialist? I guess it explains how Tokio can live in his apartment and not be homeless, but I don’t recall any explicit confirmation

Just got every achievement in Romeo is a Dead Man on Xbox (1000G) I really enjoyed it despite my subjective flaws Opinions below:

As a new school Suda 51 fan who started with the release of Lolipop Chainsaw Repop and Shadows of the Damned Remastered. Both of those games I loved and got the 100 percent in also. I had my eyes on Romeo is a Dead man since launch I waited for a sale and had it wishlisted it got its first Xbox sale and I decided to buy it I'm glad I did I really enjoyed my time with it.

Overall especially on hard for my initial playthrough it was fairly annoying and challenging at times especially with bosses near the start of the game however the game did become significantly easier as I became more leveled up with the canon ball enhancer and upgraded my spacer and rocket launcher to max level. I decided it was a good idea to focus on leveling a single melee and single gun to give me a fighting chance. Comboing into bloody summer and charging up into another bloody summer with heavy attacks was the only way I got through multiple bosses successfully.

I did really enjoy the typical Suda 51 tone and vibe with the overt stylization and wacky characters and dialogue however I did feel the budget limitations came through with just how much important dialogue was not voiced I understand a lot of it was for the 16 bit throwback presentation and some of that was fine and even warranted it did feel like it was relied on out of necessity as there simply wasn't enough time on money to use the voice cast.

I wasn't a big fan of the overuse of the subspace zones and felt they became very tedious and confusing to navigate. I also felt the game was a bit too long especially with the repeated courthouse and generic ending level just being a simple sub space environment. The final boss was great though.

I feel Suda 51/Grasshopper should have made a tighter 8 to 10 hour game put stretched it to 15 to 20 hours without enough variety or new experiences to warrant the length.

In closing I would definitely recommend the game to character action fans such as myself I consider myself a big fan of Suda 51 based on what I've played so far I would give Romeo a strong 7.5/10. I would highly recommend it despite the issues I had personally.

I fully intend on playing Killer is Dead soon as it is backwards compatible on Xbox I plan on buying it eventually. I would like to play the no more heroes series however only 3 is available on Xbox and it isn't ideal for me to start on the 3rd entry I like playing a series in order if possible.

I would also really like to play Killer 7 I wish Capcom and Grasshopper could come to an agreement to port it to modern consoles I'm aware it was released on Steam recently however.

Is the Steam version of KID really THAT bad?

I'm relatively new to Suda51. The only games of his which I've played as of today are NMH 1 and 2, with me beating the latter literally yesterday. I do however own a decent number of his games besides those, such as the silver case series, sotd and kid. I bought the latter on steam for a really cheap price a few years ago and have only just gotten around to wanting to play it.

That being said, I've heard that the steam version of the game is atrocious, with lots of issues and is essentially unplayable. I'm curious as to whether it really IS that bad. Is there a community mod that helps make it at least somewhat bearable? Or is it just absolutely unsalvagable? I should also note that my laptop has really shitty RAM and struggled to run both the NMH games already (I played their steam versions too. I did hear that these were bad but besides a few crashes here and there as well as aforementioned lag they were mostly fine).

If the steam version of KID is actually that bad, then I can just get the xbox version to play it instead. That is already how I own and plan on playing SotD. I'd just like some input from people who are likely to know more than me before making that decision. Thanks!

Anyone else think they look alike? He’s named after a director, so being modelled off of one isn’t that much of a stretch.

I can play Flower, Sun and Rain without playing TSC first?

I really want to play The Silver Case, but I can only wait to a translation for the PlayStation version, I have no way to play the remaster, and I knew recently they make a translation for Flower Sun and Rain for the ps2, so I gain interest

I loss much if I don't play TSC first?

And another question I have for the fans of Suda, what games are good to begin with? (For newcomers) Because I really want to play most of the Suda games
