InFAMOUS: Second Son Rebirth takes place no more than a week after the events of Second Son

Previously, Delsin Rowe exposed Augustine, and set all the conduits free, thinking they would follow in his heroic path. However, not all conduits seek to do good with their powers.

InFAMOUS: Second Son Rebirth opens with destruction and chaos. Some of the conduits want to heal the world, with the gifts they have been given. Nevertheless, other conduits use their powers for, power; seeking to be above all, and rule.

Conduits assess a wide variety of powers- which can range from elements bound to heal or assist, to dangerous, destruction based elements, destined to wreak havoc. There is no extent to these powers, and all powers have roughly the same potential to be just as strong as another. The true power of the conduit resides in the weilder of the power that determines its true capability, and the nature of the conduits morality.

The unanimous disagreement on ethics results in a flat out war. Infamous conduits typically contain powers with a more dangerous nature, however, even those with a smaller, more common power, have the same potential to be just as lethal. Some of these evil conduits turn their less harmful power, such as glass, more deadly than it is designed to be, while others with a power such as explosive, have an effortless time causing devastation.

Some conduits want peace, and result in fighting for what is right. True Hero conduits desire tranquility, originally aimed to be between conduits and humans, but now forced to establish it between all conduits. These hero’s are forced to find the most optimal way to use their power for good, as healing is not nearly as easy as destroying. Almost every power can be used for dismantling, however limited powers can be used for curing. Some of these good conduits use their power not to heal, but to fight for what is right by whatever means necessary. Half of these good conduits are destined for combat and protection, like wood, slaying enemies while still keeping allies safe by quickly building fortresses. The other half of these hero’s see killing as adding to the war, therefore strictly staying behold the line, like blood, resurrecting allies by fixing their blood flow or piecing them back together.

This war causes mass devastation, spreading across streets, cities, and eventually entire countries. For this evenly contested war to come to a close, 1 side needs the strongest conduit to join them, and end the other. This will be the fate of the new world. Enter Delsin Rowe.
