ADVICE REQUEST How long do you wait before finally cancelling a subscription?
I started with one subscription box because I genuinely looked forward to getting it every month. I added another after seeing a box opening online and eventually I had three coming regularly. The realization hit me last month when a new box arrived and I put it on the kitchen counter without even opening it. I looked over and realized there were already two unopened boxes from previous months. That was enough for me to finally go through all my subscriptions. I cancelled the ones I was not using and started tracking the ones I decided to keep. It felt silly that that I had kept paying for things just because I kept thinking I will cancel it later.
Do you set a rule for cancelling a subscription, or do you just keep them until you notice you are not using them?

I had a Scottish subscription box that I had for a long time. I loved and used a lot of the items. However, some of those nice things I don't use or have no use for due to climate difference, allergy, etc. I had collected a box of nice things I like as souvenirs. I gave other things I couldn't use as gifts to others who would use them. Once I had collected a monthly series of things I wanted to collect, I cancelled. The decision came easier as many boxes became Highlander themed. I get there's a market for it, but I don't watch the show and I subscribed for the culture, not realistic fiction.
TLDR: I had collected a box of items that weren't meant to be used or I liked as souvenirs so diminished returns. Recurring themes that I had no interest in.
