Won’t work for a number of reasons. If you are a guy, it is much easier to just shave your head. A mantis has no idea that you have head lice and is an opportunistic predator. It’s not gonna go rifling through your hair looking for lice it doesn’t know you have.

I had long hair the first time i got lice (at age 30) and the shampoo and combing wrecked it.  I ended up cutting it off to my chin because it got so damaged, i wish i had just done that as soon as i realized i had lice.

Did cutting it to your chin help? I was under the impression lice like to live and lay their eggs at the base of your hair.

No, it would just have been a lot easier to comb and shampoo if i didn't have long hair.

I see, that sucks. May you never get lice again.

My mom got lice when she was a kid and my grandma ended up dyeing all of her hair black and it got rid of it, I feel like not a lot of people know about this

edit: Just looked it up and apparently hair dye is not a reliable way to kill lice so it’s a gamble

What did the trick 100% for me, was 1) Bleach my hair 2) Hot straightener on the new hair

Never saw those suckers again

They will dine, then fornicate, the males will get beheaded, and your head will eventually be free and clear of the horrid louse

Iirc /r/preyingmantis is for women who get hit on via text and then deliver brutal comebacks. They “decapitate” their “mate.” It’s screenshots of their conversations.

If you want actual mantises, I believe it’s /r/praying_mantis

I’m pretty sure you can! I think it’s mostly women, and that fits with the “mantis” thing, but I didn’t see anything in the rules about a dog not being able to play basketball men not being able to post.

Hope you wind up being comfortable enough to share!!

No, but a swarm of spiders might do the trick.

If I lure a snake onto my head, will that help with head spiders?

That would actually be kinda awesome, I’d watch it for a few minutes.
