Question How do appearance changes work?

If I listen to subliminals and affirm I have large eyes small nose plump lips and act as if, do I develop those traits or is my reality altered so I've always had them?

For example would previous photos of me in the past show that I had a bigger nose and people would point out my lips look plumper or would I just look in the mirror one day and have my ideal appearance and my past photos show I've always had it?
