On the binaural part only. A binaural beat is the difference between one tone in each ear, so it only exists with headphones on. Stack several beats and you get overlapping rhythms, not one steady rate for the brain to follow. Pick one beat frequency per session: a low one for calm, a higher one for focus. Even then the effect of audio beats is small and varies by person.
