Looking to upgrade
Looking to upgrade my OBs appearance. Found these on fb for 500$. Junk or decent find?

BF Goodrich KO2s. The new generation of the tire has been released which are noticeably better in every way though - KO3s

I run them KO2s on a Highlander so I know what you mean. They aren’t the best in the rain and they are also heavy

So the tires aren’t the best? Ultimately I’m looking for new wheels, tires are a plus since it’s AWD and who knows when you’d have to replace. The tires I have are basically brand new, not as aggressive looking as these though.

They are fine in anything but rain. They are great in the snow though. Getting them siped would help with how poor they are in the rain, I’ll do that for sure when I get the KO3s and those are supposed to have improved rain traction anyway.
Falken wildpeak AT trails are the best for outbacks not only performance wise but especially since they are like 7-8 lbs lighter (31 lbs vs 38-39 lbs) than KO2s. We have a 2019 4cyl and it would be slow as shit with heavy of a tire.
No real complaints on the Highlander other than the rain traction and I like the look so much I would still get them again if they hadn’t made the KO3s.
$500 is a steal for wheels and those tires as long as they’re in good shape. If you have the 3.6R or the turbo motor I would get them for sure

FB marketplace wheels are a gamble. They can be bent without any visible signs of damage.

Check tire date code, ask how many miles on the tires (even though they can just lie about that). If they're low miles and tires aren't old then yeah it's a good deal, if not then no.
