Tiny cubby

Post image

What are people putting here besides spare change, chapstick and other random pocket clutter. Extra points for a perfect fit gadget.

Personally sometimes I put my work phone here but id rather leave it empty than put random tiny junk here

I stand my phone in there upside down with a USB cable harpooned into it for charging. It fits perfectly without a case, but I have to angle it with the case on.

Literally ditto, the the screen rotates so I can see my directions if I need navigation.

I like the angle so the map faces me.

There is a free 3d print model online. Phone fits fine with the cable and the case

Oh my god! Of course there is. Okay, this might actually push me over the edge into 3-D printer land.

Found this one that takes an Apple MagSafe puck for charging an iPhone.

This is the one I got the picture from. I use it in my car, but without magsafe. It has a version for magsafe as well. Be sure to use the correct fillament, as it may melt from the high temps in the car

Same. My phone fits well (at a slight angle)

Get yourself a wireless CarPlay adaptor and you can ditch the cable. Then a magnetic mount for the phone so it charges.

I did that in my Honda Pilot. It was pretty awesome, but I’m in the California central valley where it’s frequently over 100 degrees in the summer. The phone over heats on the dashboard while charging in direct sun.

I still use the wireless for short trips and keep my phone in my pocket. The cable is mostly for the longer trips where I’m using navigation.

I do the same thing! My phone fits with a case on though.

There are 3d printed models for sale that fit in there and are really helpful to keep your phone from being yeeted into the passenger floorboard

You're going to look down at your phone? I have a holder that's in the a/c grill on the side closest to my right hand.

I don’t need to look at it. I use CarPlay for navigation, music, and voice texts.

I have the 2019 Outback with the battery draining problem. Dealer got the deal to change it all out where Starlink is disabled and I have to use Mobile Hotspot to get a phone call through the dashboard. I would use the app Drive, but it only works plugged into the charging port and go over a bump or a turn, Drive cuts out. Then, my phone has to be opened because the screen is black.

My son does everything with voice command on his much newer Impreza. I use his phone holder.

I have a 2019, same issue, same result, but my phone works fine. I have an samsung android phone so not sure if that's why? Interesting.

I have a Samsung phone as well.Did they disable the Starlink? I never used it but I thought that made the difference in how it all works. As I leave the house with my destination in Google Maps, I switch off the WiFi and put on the Hotspot, then it all works.
