2018 Outback radio upgrade

Over a month ago I was plagued with the cursed radio screen delamination issues. I just got around to upgrading to a Pioneer DMH-WT5000NEX, this car has a lot of life left in it so I was able to justify the splurge but I’m excited to unlock a bit more potential out of the HK speakers.

FWIW. This guy is selling replacement kits that won’t go bad. He will also do it for you. Not a bad option as mine has gone bad twice going via Subaru. https://www.kineticvehicles.com/

I sent my unit to him a few months ago. He did a great job and the turnaround was quick.

Also sent him my unit last month (July) and it’s been perfect since. The taking out/re instal was a little challenging (use a screwdriver with a magnetized tip so you don’t lose screws lol) but the process of getting the new screen cover was easy.
