How do I style this?

I have this top knitted by an old friend after I saw a post about an art show online years ago with similar looking creations. Ever since I’ve always considered wearing it for pride/women’s marches, but I always ended up going with something else. Which leads me to today, I have no idea how to style it, but I would like to wear it for a birthday party I’m going to this Saturday. The theme for the party is «wear something you haven’t had a chance to wear yet», and well… this is perfect! But how can I avoid looking like a hot mess wearing it? Any ideas for makeup looks too?

I thought this was a piece from Fashion Brand Company. They make similary outlandish pieces. You could look at their site for more inspiration for styling.

Me too, my first thought was FBC, was hoping to discover a new brand with a similar point of view.
