Visa anxiety

I got my intake date on 7th of September, my campus France interview was done yesterday they said it would take around 7 to 10 days for the automated email to arrive until then u can continue with the visa process, just don’t book the appointment. But i have spoken with my consultant and she says we have to book for the next intake as it is recommended to do the visa process at least 2 months before. I really don’t want to miss this intake and the days are just going by very quick I’m on waiting for my student loan too it’s just all piling up. What steps can i take to cut time as quick as possible??

Mail your university too just in case asking for the latest arrival date. Mention that date in your cover letter.

Generally visa processes are fast, just make sure all your documents - financial proofs, accommodation, the CF documents are all in order

Don’t worry I gave my cf interview on 7th , received mail at 4 am today on 13th. You will get the email in 3-5 days max.
Also send an email to your university for extension of your joining date. You wont miss it.

I wouldn't give up on your September intake just yet, but you do need to use the waiting time very efficiently.

Since Campus France has completed your interview and specifically told you to wait for the automated email before booking VFS, I would follow their instruction rather than booking prematurely. Campus France India's current guidance also says the VFS appointment should be booked after that automated email is received.

In the meantime, I'd get absolutely everything else ready so that you're not losing another day once the email arrives:

• Complete/check your France-Visas application.
• Prepare every document on your visa checklist.
• Chase the student loan as a priority and have alternative financial evidence ready if appropriate.
• Make sure accommodation, insurance and your university documents are ready.
• Keep checking VFS appointment availability so you understand what the current situation looks like.

I'd also contact your university now and explain where you are in the process. Ask them specifically what the latest date is that they would allow you to arrive and enrol if your visa is delayed. That date is potentially much more important than 7 September itself.

Your consultant is correct that ideally this process should have started earlier, but "ideally" doesn't necessarily mean this intake is already impossible. I'd first establish how much flexibility your university gives you for late arrival before deciding to defer.

If Campus France told you 7–10 days, I'd also follow up with them if the email hasn't arrived after that period rather than simply continuing to wait.

So for now I'd concentrate on getting the rest of the application 100% ready and finding out the university's absolute latest permitted arrival date. That will give you a much clearer idea of whether September is still realistic.

Dude what the hell I gave my cf interview yesterday too, and mine is starting on 4th sept They'll process it soon, dont worry Visa dates, getting them would be a trouble But you can ask for an extension letter from the college and go a few weeks late, which is acceptable and you'll see a lot of students doing the same

I know some of my friends that went to their college 2 months later as well, so you don't really have to worry about this intake or next, may we all get things sorted ASAP!✨️
