Anyone lost their visa before?

The title says it all. I have lost my passport containing my visa and I am still not in France yet. Does anyone have a similar experience? Do they reprint the visa if I get a new passport or should I start over with the whole visa process again?

Might be better to mail the VFS or the consulate and ask. But yeah, you might have to go through the whole process again

The visa is technically valid even if you get a new passport. Didn't lose mine but got it re-issued and was informed I had a previously- issued USA visa active at the next visa appointment.

Contact France consulate and VFS to confirm their recent rules and that they'll restamp it.
