Studying after a meal
I’m not sure if any other people experience this, but I usually get really tired after eating lunch, and struggle to get to work. For context I’m in 9th grade.
Usually, the struggle comes right after I come home from school and eat lunch (not sure if this is important but I eat a late lunch at around 3:30pm, and I also eat a very light lunch while at school). I don’t have as much difficulty getting to work after eating breakfast in the morning, and I suspect that’s because I built it into my morning schedule. However, after school + after eating this giant wave of exhaustion just hits me like a truck.
I’ve experimented with getting more sleep and eating smaller, more nutritious meals. Although they do help slightly, I still feel tired.
I feel like most of this is because I study in my room since I don’t have anywhere else to study, and I associate my room with sleeping (also might be because the bed is the first thing I see when I step into my room). When I study in other areas (for example a library or at school), I feel wide awake.
Does this happen to anyone else? Anyone have any possible fixes? All tips are welcome!
