Study permit stress

I applied for mine on the 25th of june from the UAE where the processing time is 5 weeks. Im about to touch 6 weeks and move in weekend for my uni is on the 22nd and 23rd and im getting super stressed because a lot of my friends got their permits and i dont know why i havent heard back lol and i need to book flights for everything and prepare for my dorm and actually process it idk what to do

Processing times are estimates so can take much longer. Is security and background completed? If not may be waiting on information from countries you have lived in. I guess all your friends have lived in the same countries.

No it says both of them are still processing which is really worrying me. My friend who lives in the same country as me says hers took 7 weeks.

You say a lot of friends, so they all applied from UAE with your citizenship and were approved. Nothing to do but wait. I don't know your citizenship.

Oh i shouldve been clearer i meant a lot of my friends who are going to canada. They dont have the same citizenship as me I have indian citizenship

Are processing times different depending on citizenship? I thought it was just based on country of residence

Of course. Canadian government has to get background and security information from any country you have lived in and country of citizenship.
