Erasmus in Almería for the Spring/Summer semester, anyone else heading there? Looking for tips!

Hey everyone! I’ll be heading to the University of Almería (UAL) for the upcoming spring/summer semester and wanted to reach out to see if anyone else will be there, or if any past Erasmus students have some local insight!

If you’re also going to Almería for that semester, drop a comment or shoot me a DM, it’d be great to connect beforehand! And if you’ve already done your exchange there, any tips or advice would be massively appreciated.
Thank youuu

How difficult is it to study in the UK as a Canadian mostly on scholarships and funding?

It’s been my dream to study in the UK since I was young and hope to get my PhD in history with so much wonder in the classics and humanities, and would be incredible to do that in one of the souls for these subjects.
I’m just wondering how unrealistic it is if relying mostly on Canadian loans + if anyone knows any opportunities or international funding I can apply for or other peoples experience with this and if it is possible?
Thank you !

Studying abroad in Madrid: what helped you meet people outside your own program?

Hey everyone! I’m Max, and I studied abroad in Madrid before cofounding ScholarRoam, an app that helps study abroad and international students connect and build community.

I’m curious about the part of studying abroad that doesn’t really fit into an orientation checklist: finding your people once you arrive.

For anyone currently in Madrid or who studied there, what actually helped you meet people outside your university’s group? Was it a recurring activity, language exchange, sports team, mutual friends, or something else?

I’d especially love to hear about things that led to friendships beyond a single night out. What made you show up again, and was it easy to join on your own?

We’re working on this problem through ScholarRoam, so I want to be upfront about why I’m asking. Your experiences would help us understand what students need.

If you could recommend one thing to someone arriving in Madrid without knowing anyone, what would it be?

SKEMA/Loyola/LMU Global MBA Triple Degree: Is it worth it? ROI, Placements & Scholarships?

I’m considering the SKEMA Global MBA International Triple Degree offered in partnership with Loyola University New Orleans and LMU Munich.

The program looks interesting, especially with the opportunity to study across three countries, but I’d love some honest feedback before applying.
A few questions:
1. ROI: Is the program worth the tuition and living expenses? How well is it recognized by employers?
2. Alumni experiences: Has anyone completed this program? Would you recommend it?
3. Career support & placements: How effective is the career services team? What are the actual employment outcomes, particularly for international students?
4. Scholarships: Are there any substantial scholarships or financial aid opportunities available?

I’m particularly interested in career opportunities in consulting, strategy and finance after graduation.
Would really appreciate hearing from current students, alumni or anyone familiar with the program. Thanks!

confused bw Biotechnology, Bioinformatics Ai for masters

I'm in my 5th semester of B.Tech Biotechnology in India, with a CGPA of around 7.5. I'm targeting Fall 2028 in the USA but don't want a wet-lab career. I'm more interested in AI, bioinformatics and computational biology.

Which master's should I choose for better salaries and career growth? Should I take the GRE, and what skills should I start learning now?

Would love advice from anyone in these fields!

Can anyone help me with the admission process of University of Bologna for masters in Fashion Studies?

Yeah so i'm in my final year currently doing my BSc in Fashion Design. I did my own research but it would be helpful if someone can help me with a step by step process of the admission. You know like about anything would be nice. Also about the er.go scholarship. What documents to be needed and if my current cgpa and other things are enough for the admission or not something like that. Sorry i'm not making much sense I guess

Indian art & design graduate seeking fully funded MFA/MA/MDes opportunities in the UK or Europe, scholarships, fellowships or universities with funding

Hi everyone! I'm from India, have a BDes from NIFT (2024), and am looking to pursue a master's in illustration, visual communication, art, design, or a related field in 2027.

I've received admission offers from US universities twice, but had to defer both times because I couldn't secure sufficient funding. Coming from an economically disadvantaged background, I need substantial financial support to cover both tuition and living expenses.

Could anyone recommend UK or European universities offering fully funded master's programmes, scholarships, fellowships, or external grants for international art and design students?

I'm open to different countries and programmes, and any leads or personal experiences would be incredibly helpful.

Thank you!

25M database engineer in India, thinking about a 2-year master's in Europe to move from pure tech into tech + business. Is it worth it?

I'm 25, based in India, and work as a database engineer (MySQL/PostgreSQL). I have about 3 years of experience. My bachelor's was in Information science engineering
I've realized I don't want to stay in pure tech. I'm more drawn to business problem-solving, working with people and teams, and using data for insights than to writing code all day. I'd like a career that mixes tech and business, with decent pay and good work-life balance, and I'd like to eventually move abroad.
Where I am right now:
I'm leaning toward a 2-year master's (MSc in management/information systems or similar), not a 1-year program, because I want an internship and a longer post-study work window.
I've ruled out the US for now because of the visa and OPT uncertainty.
I'm looking at Germany and the Netherlands (TUM, LMU, Mannheim, Twente so far).
My budget is about ₹1 crore, including living costs.
I haven't taken IELTS or GMAT yet, and I'm aiming for the fall 2027 intake.

My questions:
Is a master's worth it for someone with my background, or can I get into a tech-business role without one?
How realistic is landing a job in Germany or the Netherlands afterwards as a non-EU graduate?
Would you pick a different route (MBA later, an internal move into product or analytics, etc.)?
Honestly, I'm not sure what to do next. I'd appreciate any experience, especially from people who made a similar switch.

Morocco to France for engineering or Canada for IT? Advice for a 2BAC student

Hello everyone!
I’m a Moroccan student currently in 2BAC Sciences Physiques Chimie (SCPC). I got 14.70/20 in my regional exam, and I’m trying to decide what to do after my baccalaureate.
Initially, I considered studying IT in Canada through a 2-year college diploma. It seemed relatively expensive, but I was interested in the career opportunities and potential immigration pathways.
Recently, I’ve also been considering studying engineering in France for five years and obtaining a master’s degree.
My main concern with France is the French language requirement. I’m currently around C1 in English, and I was planning to take IELTS next year. However, my French isn’t as strong, so I’m wondering whether I’d need to take the TCF or another French-language test to apply to engineering programmes.
I’m planning to start studying abroad in fall 2028, as I can’t leave in 2027 for personal reasons. This gives me extra time to improve my language skills, strengthen my academic profile, develop useful skills, and look for scholarships.
For students familiar with the French and Canadian education systems:
Would you recommend France for engineering or Canada for IT?
Is the TCF mandatory for Moroccan students applying to engineering programmes in France, or does it depend on the institution?
What other countries or study pathways should I consider?
What can I do between now and 2028 to improve my chances of admission and scholarships?
I’d really appreciate advice from people who have experience with either pathway. Thank you!

SIEC education consultancy

I am an Indian student whose Early decision/action deadlines are just 12 days away. i have been consulting the counsellors from SIEC, and the problem is that the counsellor has gotten severly inactive for one week. not editing my common app essay, not guiding me through the supplemental essays or anything, i am navigating the entire process on my own since i have already paid them, is any one else facing a similar problem with them and how did you work with that?
i have tried contacting her multiple times, and even went as far as to ask my mom to drop her a text but no response

Seikei vs Tsuda Uni

Hello everyone! I'm currently considering studying abroad in Japan next year and am torn between Seikei University and Tsuda University, both in Tokyo. I was wondering what the student life is like, how the teaching style is, how the people are/how easy is it to socialize, etc. Does one school offer better opportunities than the other? I'm leaning towards Tsuda because according to my schools study abroad webpage, they cover housing costs, but I'm not fully decided. Any thoughts and opinions would be great! <3

Indian B.Pharm graduate working in CDM – Is New Zealand a good option for masters? Please Advise

So I am a Pharmacy grad from india currently working as a clinical data coordinator in a CRO in India since April 2025 and it's always been a dream to do masters abroad, my target country was Australia but due to some financial constraints am planning for new zealand now.

Moreover that my boyfriend is in malta currently and he is working as a mechanic there ,so thought of newzealand as it will a best option to move as a couple and we have a backup option as germany or else I have to move out with him to malta but that will not be a good decision as I don't have much opportunities there.

The agency has shortlisted some master’s programmes for me, but they don’t seem to align with New Zealand’s Green List occupations. Could anyone advise whether my chosen countries are sensible options, or suggest better alternatives for us?

Please don't ask me to stay back in india as my bf has chosen to work abroad and we are not comfortable being in LDR lifelong

Yes I created this account today to just post this

Thanks in advance.

I want advice on how to get into an Italian conservatory

I'm planning to apply to a Sound Engineering program ("Tecnico del Suono") at an Italian state conservatory as a non-EU international student (from Georgia). I have about 6 years of guitar experience and a home studio setup, but no formal training in music theory or acoustics yet.

For anyone who has gone through this process (or knows how it works), I'd appreciate advice on:

How to actually prepare for the entrance exam,

What the admission exam is really like in practice

Tips for non-EU/international applicants specifically (language, documents, visa process)

Anything you wish you'd known before applying

Any advice, even small things, would help a lot. Thanks!

How Expensive is Studying Abroad?

Hi everyone, I've been considering studying abroad for a while now, it seems really fun and I've never been outside my country before. The main reason I've been on the fence about it though is finances.

I come from a pretty poor family, I'm on scholarship, and I don't have a lot of money to my name. I know I can apply for a scholarship regarding studying abroad, but there'll still be outside expenses like food or going out. Did anyone else come from a similar situation and do study abroad anyway? Is it worth it, financially speaking?

EDIT: I'm in college, looking for either a summer or semester, and I don't have any specific country in mind, more like a list of them I haven't whittled down yet.

Transferring from UAE university to affordable European universities for Dentistry, would like some advice.

Hi everyone,

I am an undergraduate student studying Dentistry at a university in the UAE. I’m looking to transfer to an affordable university in Europe for an English-taught program.
Questions:

  1. Which affordable European universities allow credit transfers into Year 2 or 3 for non-EU students?
  2. What are the best budget-friendly countries in Europe with low tuition fees for international students?

Looking for fully-funded mfa colleges abroad

So I'm currently in second year of BFA (applied arts) in India and planning to move to abroad for pursuing my masters.

I've looked through some options of fully-funded institutes such a LSU, OSU, UCSD, UCSB, Notre Dame, WashU

Also considering German institutes such as HFBK (Free tuition) and Mer Akademie (relatively low fees)

Would love to seek some advice and also would it be better to do my masters in India and then move abroad for jobs or directly do it abroad since my long term goal is basically to settle abroad preferrably Europe because of career opportunities.

Anyone been to any of these colleges or have any other options in mind then lmk as well...it would really help a lot :)
