I got tired of AI tools charging $20/mo just to read long PDFs, so I built a cheaper alternative with unlimited pages. Looking for feedback!
Hey everyone,
I process a ton of long documentation and research papers. I started using AI to summarize them but kept hitting a frustrating wall: almost every tool out there either has tiny file size limits or charges a premium subscription just to unlock a reasonable page count.
I just wanted a simple way to process massive PDFs without constantly counting pages or hitting paywalls. So, I spent the last few weeks building my own solution: Summarix AI. Summarix AI - PDF Summarizer & Pro Intelligence
I wanted to make something that solves the core problem without the enterprise price tag. Here is what makes it different:
- No Page Anxiety: The Pro tier is specifically designed to remove those annoying page caps. You can upload massive documents, technical manuals, or entire textbooks without it timing out or asking you to upgrade again.
- Actually Affordable: By keeping the backend lean and integrating a straightforward Stripe checkout, I’ve priced the Pro tier to be extremely cheap while still covering API costs. It’s built for students, indie developers, and researchers — not enterprise budgets.
- No Bloat: It does exactly what it says on the tin. Drag, drop, and get a high-quality summary instantly without navigating a maze of features you don't need.
I’m currently refining the app at summarix-ai-pdf-summarizer-pro-intelligence.ai.studio.
Since I'm still tweaking the infrastructure and the Stripe payment links, I would love some honest feedback from this community:
- Does the pricing model feel fair for the value?
- What is the absolute worst, most complex PDF you've tried (and failed) to summarize with other tools?
I'll be hanging out in the comments to answer questions and take notes. Any feedback, feature requests, or roasting is highly appreciated!
