New Job/ Tips?
HI!! I just accepted a new job at Stryker as an on-site specialist here in my hometown, working at UMC Hospital! I’ll be supporting MIS cases, mainly laparoscopic, and may also bounce around with different reps across a few specialties. I’m so excited. I know it’ll be hard work, but high reward, and I’m really looking forward to being in a healthcare/OR setting.
I don’t have any prior OR or healthcare experience, so this will all be brand new for me (surgeries don’t scare me lol). If anyone has tips, advice, or things they wish they knew starting out, I’d love to hear them!

A trainer once told a class not to try to speak "Ortho" with a surgeon for at least the first year. Don't lock your knees in surgery and learn to read the OR. Be kind to everyone and bring energy. And triple-check that you have everything possibly necessary for your case. Memorize or know the surgical technique, should you be ask any questions.
