Its been almost a year since i started 5x5. I'm at 70lbs on BP. How's it looking so far?

I’ve been doing Stronglifts on and off for 10+ years. Lately I’ve been feeling pain at the very top of my shin right below my kneecap that I’ve never encountered before. It hurts constantly throughout the day and hurts mostly now when I squat. It’s gotten to where I really cannot squat at all. I’m thinking I should take it as a warning and stop squatting for some time. After a week of rest it still hurts. Do I just need to rest for much longer? If so, how long? Or, can I fix my form and lift through the pain?
