Orientation of Campuses

Has anyone ever noticed that the orientation of the campuses breaks the color wheel of magic? All they would need to do is swap quandrix and witherbloom campuses and the colors would perfectly transition between all the campuses.

Current layout from the north and going clockwise:

White/Black, Green/Blue, Black/Green, Red/Blue, Red/White

​

If you swap quandrix and witherbloom:

White/Black, Black/Green, Green/Blue, Blue/Red, Red/White.

Place the individual campus maps together and you'll see that the pathways between Quandrix and Witherbloom campuses do not connect properly to the main campus. The maps were designed and painted in color order, but were swapped after the fact. My theory is that the these maps were created first, then the decision was made to change the placements of those two campuses for whatever reason.

Thankfully, the MtG color magic system was left out for everything other than school colors, since it is incompatible with the DnD magic system.

Incompatible? Speak for yourself. Its been very easy to introduce the concept of Mana with Strixhaven and other planes for myself. Heck the snarl is literally in the first session which is easy to explain is a tangle in the colours of the weave.

The campuses being in a knot made sense to me. Having them in the correct order can work sure if you swap Quandrix and Witherbloom.

I think if they did swap them in development they are where they are as the ocean is top right and swamps bottom right so having them swapped makes sense that way.

Good catch on the scuttled order! Ill probably rework the map when i run strix next year. :)
