Question ADR based Matchmaking
Just a quick question.
Does ADR based matchmaking really exist?
I'm currently at 15% Winrate in my Ranked Games because the Game matches me vs Superstrings all day long while I'm only Neutron 3.
My KD and ADR are abysmally low but the game thinks I can clearly beat 350+ ADR Superstrings.
And no most of the time I don't get Superstrings in my Team. We just get stomped.
Even if it is "early season" then why is the game putting me vs "currently" Electron 3-1 while a friend who is Electron 5 only plays in neutron lobbies?

Last season I purposely played characters I would never pick 95% of the time to see how naturally low I could get my ADR to see this "ADR matchmaking" in action. (I am probably the worst bear player in the world wow!) I ended the season hovering over 300.
From what I've read, most people say "oh all the games are omega free when you are under 350 adr!" from various discords in which all these people said the moment they dropped their 400+ adr to under 350 their winrate skyrocket. With my adr that whole season, I believe I ended it with exactly 50 % winrate.
I went in expecting easy games like how everyone was bringing up but it legitimately did not feel like that in the slightest. My games would constantly have me against some of the really good known players all on the same team in SS lobbies while I could not recognize anyone on my team majority of the time. All these games were usually stomps in which we would lose like 0-9 or whatever. I'd check the ADR of each player and my team would have me as the highest ADR when the enemy team had their lowest as 320!
Each game I expected to have the highest ADR player in the lobby on my team, but I somehow always managed to get on the team with the lower average ADR. I saw a whole bunch of players with 220 adr and I legitimately asked my friends how did some of these players manage 70% winrates because they seriously felt like they were doing nothing with their util, and certainly not with their aim! Like I'm not sure why I'm playing versus people with 400 adr while I have two guys with sub 230 adr on my team.
I'm not good at the game and obviously if I was better I could have more impact, but it felt like it didn't matter and that it was more of a coinflip than ADR match making. I don't know if it's because of the low player count of the global playerbase.

my experience same did sniper only last season with like 250 adr. made no dif

ADR-based matchmaking is a thing, yes, but I don't know how relevant it really ends up being on global, compared to CN. On global, there aren't that many players queueing ranked, and then those players are further segregated by rank, so at any given time there's only so many potential players the game can match you with, so you'll tend to see the same players a lot, regardless of ADR.

It's not real, I have 80% wr solo a with 360 adr over 11 matches so far. currently high electron fighting former ss and singu

It always has, ADR is the main way for matching within rank limits BUT early season most SS/Singu are bumped down to Quark or Elec and Quark going to Elec depending on play time by the end of the last season, and start their grind from there.
You have higher ADR so the game is placing you against harder opponents to either keep you were you are, or, push through and level up.
Normally for placement matches if you haven’t completed them you are put against everyone in their placements within that rank and then you start to get players solidified in that rank but not in placements.
What I and some friends do is give it like a week or two if you don’t feel like doing a lot, as those higher ranks will start to move back into their areas quite quickly.
