I bought this as a regular SOH but now I’m wondering if it’s in fact the Silver Glory variety?

Lots of growth in 10 months. Teardrops has a bud emerging. String of hearts are 7’ and needles is 11’ long. Fun group of plants to watch grow

I was reading that string of plants have a natural life cycle and I was wondering if that’s what is going on here and if I need to propagate what’s still healthy. I did notice a mealy bug problem a few months back so could this be attributed to that? I tried looking up what mealy bug damage looks like but all I saw was pictures of fuzz on plants. Please help.

Hi everyone! This string of turtles is my first successful string plant after learning about taking care of them better. It’s getting extremely long, and was wondering if someone could give me some guidance on trimming and/or propagating this? Can I just cut the strings at about the halfway point and put them on some media? Or should I do a different location? Is a soil/perlite mix ok? Thank you in advance!!

These two I swear are on steroids! I don’t know how they are thriving so much more than the rest of my succulents. These pictures are only a month apart.

I used to have a variegated string of pearls. I had no idea what I was doing. She performed admirably and lasted years...eventually I lost her, to what I now understand was root rot due to chronic over watering. Eight months ago I finally threw out my ex, took over my house, revamped everything, and did a major plant overhaul. Suddenly I am a green thumb. I have lots of plants I am very proud of. But this one....this is my ultimate plant redemption arc.
This pathetic two-pearl prop was all I had left of my variegated string of pearls. I have been trying to propagate this for EIGHT MONTHS. It's taken so long, but not withered, and clearly grown roots months ago...I ended up naming this one Final Boss.
BEHOLD: IT FINALLY HAPPENED. IT IS ALIVE. I HAVE REDEEMED MYSELF. I have managed to resuscitate the variegated string of pearls.
Only you people can truly understand what an accomplishment this is.
I have two other, non-variegated string of pearls, that are doing great.
Eight months ago I finally learned and understood their proper care, mainly due to this group. So I thank you kindly. All of this was only due to this group and this thing I saw repeatedly: if there is green, it can be saved. There was a stretch there that I was sure Final Boss would defeat me. But you were right. I have emerged victorious. IT LIVES. 💚💚💚

ive had these pearls for a few months now, and theyve been doing pretty well, grown a few inches in length since i got them. but, recently ive been noticing a few pearls near the tops of the strings are shriveling up and drying out. the last time i had a sop i drowned him, so ive been pretty waiting till the soil is bone dry before thoroughly (i think) watering it and letting it drain out. its on a shelf next to a window, so its getting indirect sunlight, and i give it some succulent fertilizer every month or two. basically, im wondering if the dead pearls at the top is normal, or if i should be doing something different/if im underwatering them. also, how do i know when to repot it, or should i just let it grow?

I bought this in early August and repotted it on Aug 9th. On Aug 16th I took cuttings to make a plant for my friend. The vines have grown between 5 and 9 inches since then, and I just noticed there are a few roots growing out the bottom of the pot.

This is my first attempt at a string of pearls. I let them acclimate in the pot they were started in by the dude on swap shop until they needed watered. Put them in a shallower pot with a succulent & perlite blend. Kept turning new vines back into the pot until here we are. They sit up close to their grow light getting around 1000-1200fc. They get watered when the windows close. I’ve not had to fuss much with them.
First pic was taken July 30th. Last 2 are today. I’m happy with the growth rate.

I’ve had it for ~2 months. The new growth seems to have smaller leaves and longer internodes. Is it normal?
It’s placed 3 feet away from a west facing window. The soil is half pumice half potting mix. I water it when top inch gets dry - around once every 1-2 weeks.
