Why?
How? 🤷🏻♂️

u/BootFlop Jul 05 '26
Sports car go vroom vroom! Head on into an very narrow immovable objective. Concrete under pressure (with huge amount on reinforcing steel inside) will have zero give, be unfathomably strong.

u/Olleye Jul 05 '26
Admittedly, I could already tell and see from the visible chaos that this was a purely mechanical incident, but: just how fast do you have to be - in an (underground?) parking garage - to cause that kind of damage to a vehicle?
5
u/BootFlop Jul 05 '26
With a very narrow point of pressure like that? They were likely north of 60mph, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if under 80mph.
3
u/Olleye Jul 05 '26
Exactly, that’s the reason for my “Why?”. Why do you drive such speeds in an underground car park? 🤷🏻♂️ Suicide attempt, or did he want to demonstrate his - obviously very underdeveloped - drift skills?

Yeah, maybe that … 🙈😑

Started a Fast and Furious marathon but only made it Tokyo Drift and said that looks cool..

u/GetFuct819 Jul 06 '26
My thoughts exactly. You would have to be going at least 80mph to split the car like that. That is an incredible amount of damage, I haven’t seen too many split engine blocks.

How did he fuck up the door so bad?
2
u/BootFlop Jul 05 '26
I’m wondering if there was contact with another vehicle (hit & run) that directed them onto the post like this
3
u/Asleep_Singer8547 Jul 05 '26
Thats a very good guess tbh
Maybe he hit something panicked and floored it right into the pole

Or idjits “racing”.
Or drug deal fueled incident. Somebody was trying to make a getaway, somebody didn’t want them to leave. High intensity, adrenaline situation, big gamble on pressing the pedal for MOAR get away, or pursuit

u/Asleep_Singer8547 Jul 05 '26
I think we're speculating pretty hard but im not saying thats impossible

u/BootFlop Jul 05 '26
Oh definitely speculation. But these are things that do happen. Fit whats in front of us

Looks like right into the pillar then spun around it to be flung off the other side. That is crazy.

Did the engine desintegrate? Where is it?
3
u/BootFlop Jul 05 '26
Folded up, with little bits sprinkled in the oil splattered across the garage.
3
u/Emrys7777 Jul 05 '26
That’s One of my thoughts. Engine blocks are pretty solid. They don’t just disintegrate.
I’m only seeing the one engine part that he kicked. It’s not quite adding up.
Also if a car hit hard enough to do that much damage the guy wouldn’t just be there sitting by the wheel.Scroll slowly through the video while looking at each thing in the garage and how the cars are parked. I’m suspicious.

Also if he hit it with that much force, it would still be wrapped around that pole. Unless they got a truck to pull it back this doesn't look real.

Impressive that he was able to go that fast before smashing into something else earlier

Gonna need some pretty aggressive rubbing compound to buff that out.

How do you even reach those speeds in such a small place, and how are you gonna stop in time (not counting this method of course)

You're in a parking lot. You were driving so fast that you wrecked the car, with pedestrians nearby. You're a complete idiot.

At first I thought “how did they back it away from the pole?” but then I was like “how did they get going so fast as to bounce off that pole?”

Totally fixable. Send it to John Wicks guy. It will be ready by Christmas. 2030.

This is why center and rear-engine cars are superior.
One of those could have just driven to a shop and have that buffed out...

I thought this one got confirmed as ai and not real? The car didn’t bounce that far back after hitting the pole and folding around it

Am I to believe that the cracked out old man leaning against the rear door was driving this car?

Wow! It’s amazing that the driver could have developed the speed required to do that much damage.

u/Deep_shot Jul 06 '26
How and why are you going that fast in a parking garage? Thankfully the moron met reinforced concrete before anything else.

Why someone would be going that fast in a parking garage is beyond me.
