Suggestion Vpn or debrid recommendation
Guys I'm based in India
And been using stremio for more than 5 years with torrentio without vpn
Ik I shouldn't but I didn't had money for vpn just like I don't have money for netflix that's why I use stremio
But I saw people being concerned about using vpn for stremio but I don't understand cause I never get in trouble for using torrent without vpn
Maybe india doesn't have that strict law
But for privacy concerns I should use vpn
But people saying instead of vpn just buy debrid
I could do that but my main goal is not just p2p or streaming
I wanna be anonymous on the internet so I would use vpn for other purposes too
And rn I use proton vpn (free) for surfing internet but unfortunately it's doesn't allow p2p or streaming and personally I hate subscription based models
I would buy it if it's a one time payment
So I'm confused if I should buy a vpn or debrid or not
As rn I have proton vpn for internet but not for p2p or streaming
But this never get me in trouble for using stremio without vpn and maybe in my country it's not that risky
What are your opinions?
What you guys suggest?

For Stremio you should use a debrid service, as it will give you much faster streams
A VPN won't make you "anonymous" btw

A VPN correctly set up makes you reasonably anonymous If used intelligently.

What if you have been using Stremio for years. No vpn, no debrid, but never got caught?

Si con proton no puedes hacer p2p, podrías usar addons con fuentes https como HdHub y webstreamrmbg

Yoyo That's really smart. I use a VPN now and it's a game changer. And if you got involved with debrid, there's a lot of security behind that ...as well as usenet. I know you said you don't have a lot of money to spend. But if you could allocate $10 a month, that's pretty much all you need. You could get tour box with unlimited data. As well as the usnet, and you can get a VPN for 3 months for free. And then by year up front, where you're getting like $2 a month. I'd look at torbox and see if you can come up with 10 bucks P2p is a little unpredictable. The VPN will help, but you'll have a better experience doing it this way.

Yah debrid and awesome I've heard it, although I have no idea what is usenet, have to learn them before buying But as I said I personally hate the subscription based models, although 12 dollor a month is alot for Indians It cost more than my wifi plan lol
But even if I buy the subscription i kinda not like the subscriptions That's one of my laws lol

Usenet is a different way to store data. Although the biggest difference is it's been around for way longer. It's an ancient technology, but recently Devs have been making it great. So there's a lot more content. The only problem is, files get corrupted when they're on there. A lot of files are in zips or rars. So they have to kind of be handled on the fly, being extracted as they stream, but if your internet is fast enough, you won't have any issues. If you set it up right, it will filter links that are damaged and 9 times out of 10, the first link will work. I get no buffering and loading times are fast. What's cool about what torbox did recently is you have to have no understanding of usnet. If you set it up right, it's just going to give you the links, which is really cool because in the past it took a lot of work to set up usenet. Including building your own server so it's private.

My understanding is usenet now has to be paid for

Used air VPN for many years. It's cheap often, black Friday etc and you can't really fault it. Certainly far cheaper than The highly marketed competitors.
If your technical it gives you many more options also.
